Ordered food at 8:30, food was made by the restaurant at 8:40, and food wasn’t delivered until 10:00. The food was legitimately cold by the time it arrived, and all we got from the CarHop employee over the phone was a lackluster apology. $15 in fees plus tip should warrant food being delivered on time, and warm, not an hour and a half late, and ice cold. Would not recommend using CarHop unless you like poor customer service and cold food.

The driver never delivered my food, I was on the phone with him telling him he was at the wrong building and he told me he was leaving the food and hung up on me. I gave 3 stars only because customer service was excellent, understanding and provided a refund.

Really impressed. I read about them a couple days ago and decided to give them a try. I was hesitant to order food because I had no experience with them yet. I ordered something that would still be good if it was late. On time, really nice and professional, and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely will order from them again, and I am excited to since they have some places that aren’t on the regular roster of other delivery outfits. Absolutely a 5/5 experience!

Ordered food for pickup from the restaurant. Was charged a service fee and card processing fee after the fact. This is fraudulent, not only did I not receive a service as I was picking up but the charges were not transparent BEFORE purchase. This company is fraudulent as far as I am concerned

We only started using carhop during COVID, so I don’t know what they were like before. I’d say they usually get the pizza to us at least reasonably warm, and if not, well, there IS a pandemic going on. It’s hard to find staff, get supplies, or even keep the doors open, and so I’m definitely not going to ding a merchant who is trying to survive like the rest of us. I think they do a great job getting our food to us, considering the circumstances we’re all living under.

I ordered from The Green Elephant using CarHop.and it was seamless. From the menu selections, to the costs upfront, to the credit card payment and the destination all online. I was able to give instructions to the driver and follow him online as he proceeded to pick up and deliver all in real time on my phone. He called me at my hotel on his arrival. It was very straightforward and easy to navigate the CarHop website.

The more I learn about the charges other popular food delivery apps transfer to restaurant owners that already have such a slim profit margin, the more I appreciate that Carhop does not charge commission to our local Maine restaurants. As a consumer I would prefer to support the restaurant and pay the real price of delivery if I am opting for that convenience instead of picking up food myself, and so I always choose Carhop for any food ordering. They are also communicative when there’s a delay (which rarely happens).
