Had a reservation here this Friday and check-in was a breeze, we were seated right away even though the place was almost full. Service was top notch, lots of waitstaff was available and our own server was very attentive to our needs. My meat was cooked exactly as ordered and the drinks were top-notch. I wish there hadn’t been as many items on the menu “unavailable,” but under the current circumstances, it’s too be expected. Still, this was an excellent dining experience and we can’t wait to go back.

This is the place in McAllen to go to try different drinks or old classics. The staff is always friendly and the food is okay, but their big claim to fame is our bartenders. Their bartenders are geniuses, incredibly knowledgeable, and always willing to accommodate you.

We started out with a Brussels Sprout appetizer which was delicious. Sweet savory and just a bit spicy. We then tried their Soft Shell Crab Burger and their Grilled Pork Belly. Both were good. I expected the pork belly to be soft since it was brined and baked slowly for hours, as per the waiter but found that while good it was a bit cold and tough. The staff was great.

I remember why it’s been a while since I’ve eaten here. The service is atrociously slow. We had 3 people “taking care” of us but still had 10-15 minute periods with no attention. Very frustrating especially when you’re ordering top shelf drinks the whole night and dropping a pretty penny on dinner. The food is great, but the lack of attention is uncompromisingly bad.

Ordered a medium filet. It was well done. I didn’t send it back because I was hungry and what more can I expect from a $45 filet? I Sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. I ordered the last of a bottle of George T Stagg under the stipulation that I could take the bottle home with me as a souvenir. It’s a beautiful bottle and hard to find. After I finished my drink a different bartender said it wasn’t allowed. I wouldn’t have ordered the drink if not for the bottle. I was offered nothing more than a “sorry” from the guy. Side note—The female bartender was awesome, very professional, and personable. I can’t say that about the other guy.

Beautiful place and great tasting food. My wife enjoyed her fish tacos, and my Peri Peri Chicken was delicious. However the service was slow and the server was not always sure whose order was whose (It was a party of 15). The price was slightly high for what I got.
