Restaurant is in a good location with ample parking. Decor is very nice. The food was kinda bland even though it looked and smelled delicious. Service was slow but they were busy so I guess that was the reason. Worth a try.

Was greeted the second I walked in the door the hostess was very nice. I took a seat at the bar. I just loved the ambiance of the place and music selection. The bartender recommended his daily special cocktail, and I was glad he did. I started with the fried green tomatoes, and I have to say they were awesome. After that, I had the pork chop special that was also fantastic. The bartender was extremely helpful in helping me make decisions, and that is always a plus in my book. He definitely gave me the WOW FACTOR. Keep up the great work. Hats off to the Chef as well.

Went to this nice little grill near Carolina Beach. My beautiful life partner and I had dinner here after a day at the beach and boardwalk. We shared the Carolina dip. A cheesy crab dip with tortilla chips. Then we shared the full rack ribs with fries and slaw sides. The dip was very tasty with crispy roasted cheese edges. The ribs fell right of the bone with a tangy sweet bbq sauce. The fries were decent and crispy. The cold slaw was rather dry with little flavor. Experience was nice and we did leave satisfied.

Walked over from the beach, which was a nice stroll and got seated right away. Service was attentive but not overly so. The food was all really good. Fish tacos with market fish, mahi, tasted great and the fresh homemade chips and salsa only added to the dish.

What a delightful experience! This is definitely the spot to go in Carolina Beach if you want something different, delicious, and memorable. The atmosphere was funky and fun. The dishes were thoughtful, flavorful and just what we were searching for. We will absolutely be back. We enjoyed the fried green tomato and shrimp appetizer with Baby Back Ribs, and beef stroganoff as our mains. Our 4 year old daughter declared “these are THE BEST chicken strips I have ever tasted”! So to say we were pleased might just be an understatement. If you’re looking for a spot with creative cocktails they have those too!

Oh. Em. Gee… if I tell you this was top 10. Y’all have to go try it. The fried green tomatoes and the remoulade sauce with the grilled shrimp were amazing. The shrimp was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The sauce… I wanted to lick it off. Then I got chicken cutlets. Amazingly juicy and crispy. I got the hopping John’s. Well flavored. The collards… they were good, but it was lacking something, and I couldn’t put my finger on it. They were still good, though. At that point the food was so good, I ordered the fish and chips to go. The catfish was cooked amazing!! I ate it cold the next day and still loved it. The tartar sauce was drinkable, it was that great, lol. I am too excited to fly back and eat there again. Do not miss out on this place. Parking can be tight, and that’s really the worst part, but it still wouldn’t deter me from going.

By far the best meal on the beach. Lucky enough to order the special that evening, Pork Chop with a smoked sausage gravy, collards and whipped potatoes. Let me tell you, it was amazing and the services was just as good. Can’t wait to go back.

I was excited to eat here and entertain our beach guests from Canada. Arrived at 6:40 on Thursday evening and was delighted to see a LGBTQ owned restaurant with so much business…but it went downhill quickly. I signed the waitlist and the 2 hostesses couldn’t even give me a time frame so I was not concerned. However people coming in afterwards were told an hour and a half.. I noticed they were being seated well ahead of us..a 4 top. It seemed like a popularity contest..as one of the patrons was celebrating her 24th birthday. Other people with no reservations were also being seated ahead of us. After about an hour I walked out in disbelief and disgust. The other 3 remained. I hope they had a great meal, but as a vacation home owner I will not be recommending this establishment to any of our guests. Not because of the quality of food, but due to the staff’s hospitality practices. We’ve eaten there in the off season and food and service was great, but never again and I’m sorry to say in good faith will not recommend to our guests and or any other of our friends. Carolina Beach had always been a friendly place. Ever since I was brought here as a child on vacation. Best of luck to the business, but it’s not for me

If you are ever in Carolina Beach, go to Soul Flavor. This restaurant is not your quintessential soul food joint but a spin on some ethnic and American dishes. I had a seafood dish consisting of scallops, shrimp, oysters, and tons of vegetables with some noodles. This dish reminds me of southern English-speaking west indies food. It has the distinct flavor of freshness and taste that you would find in a broth cooked up in Trinidad or Guyana. Apart from the food, the service is excellent, with warm and inviting staff adding to the A+ dining experience.
