The roots of the restaurant date back to more than 30 years, when it was first established as Sweetwater’s Cafe on Euclid Avenue, in downtown Cleveland. Well- known restauranteur, Gary Lucarelli, later moved the restaurant to a vibrant mall- the Galleria. Now, a re-envisioned restaurant resides in a beautiful, contemporary glass-front location along bustling East 9th Street, under the name Sausalito on Ninth.
Sausalito is very excited to be opening their second location in the city of Kirtland, Ohio. Bringing high-quality, local Ohio cuisine that is prepared and served by staff who genuinely care about quality and service. Sausalito Kirtland also boasts a curated wine and beer menu, along with hand-crafted original cocktails.

We enjoyed dinner at Sausalito Kirtland! Food was VERY good, portions were great and they also had $5 Bacardi mojito’s for happy hour. The sweet potato fries are the best! Karla was our bartender and she provided great service and great food. We will be back on a regular basis. If you’ve been thinking about a visit, please give them a shot.

Our party of 4 had a fabulous meal and experience. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, strawberry salad with shrimp, penne pasta, and blackened Salmon. We will absolutely return here when we are in the area again. The awesome reviews led us to try this new restaurant and we were not disappointed. I just had a lovely meal at Sausalito’s with my mom and my sister. The food was delicious, the setting was perfect, and the service was friendly! I believe my waitress’s name was Maria and she greeted us with such a warm smile! The whole staff seemed to have a great bond which made it feel like I was at home. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I had dinner here tonight. It’s a beautiful contemporary atmosphere. The shrimp bisque was absolutely the best. It was exceptionally clean and everyone was very friendly. The food presentation was awesome and very good. Prices were very reasonable and staff was great. We will be returning!

The food was delicious, especially the salmon topped with lobster and the caramel white cake. The cocktails are innovative and delicious. The service was fantastic. There’s a lot of value for the buck here. The only drawback is the ambience – a contempo California restaurant vibe with all hard surfaces.

I went to this Sausalito location on Saturday. I have been to one in downtown. I was so welcomed and surprised by the service I received. The food was ok compared to downtown. I like the downtown food better. But the service and the drink’s variety was better in this location. The waitress she was very polite and gave as an amazing experience and I believe i have seen her in downtown as well. She also recommended few items which we enjoyed. They were busy but the service and the food came fast than expected. I would highly recommend this place.

I wish I would have taken pictures, but we tried the new restaurant in Kirtland. We like how we can make reservations on line so we are not worried about a wait. We also appreciate the review to say the entrance is around to e back which was great to know. The hostess greated us very nice and all the staff seemed kind and helpful. They even helped out each other! We had the seafood chowder which had lots of lobster and crab which even boasted the great flavor of the soup. Then we both had lobster roll which was soooo good and the certain sub roll complimented it perfectly! Can’t wait to go back and try something else! Highly recommend!
