Very cool vibe. Love the open seating area that is in the courtyard and the virgin cocktails. The food was good but not worth the prices. You can get the same thing at your local pizza joint for far less. I don’t mind paying more for something extraordinary, but it wasn’t. Kudos for the warm salted chocolate cookie with a side of vanilla ice cream though. Now that was worth the money!

AVP in Bakery Square is hip, modern and comfortable. The staff are friendly and kind. The food is great. Absolutely delish and creative pizzas. We also tried the Lenten Friday fish sandwhich. It was so fresh and yummy. Really clean cod with a crispy breading. Everything was prepared with care and flavorful ingredients. Can’t wait to try more of their menu.

I really enjoyed the pizza I had! Overall, it was delicious, but there were a couple of things I felt could be improved. Personally, I wasn’t a big fan of the crust. It was a bit too burnt and crusty for my liking, unlike other wood-fired pizzas I’ve had in the past. However, the sauce and cheese were fantastic, and there was a generous amount of basil, which I loved. As for coming back, if I happen to be in the area, I might give it another try. Although, I must say, the price was a bit higher than I expected for a basic margherita pizza at $20. Despite that, I’m glad I tried it and it left me satisfied.

A modern pizzeria in the heart of Bakery Square. Clearly a lot of thought went into decorating for functionality and smart use of space. Their rectangular pizzas are fun, with nice cheesy and crispy crust. Their gelato is other-worldly.

We’ve gone twice now to the Bakery Square location. Love the atmosphere. You can eat inside or in the enclosed courtyard for a more open feel. Lots of plants and cool hip decoration. The bar area looks very nice although we’ve only eaten at a table. One night it was packed with a wait on weekend, and then we went on a Thursday on beautiful day and they had many tables free. The first time we ordered both square and round pizza. We thought they square was overly greasy and heavy. The round was ok. Second time we stayed clear of the deep dish square and ordered two rounds. Both were pooling with grease and dripping even as you ate it. Not sure why they are making them so laden with grease. I brought a slice or two home and heated it up in this photo. You can see its covered. Even on a few of their Facebook promo photos you can see some posts with pizzas full of grease. We love the atmosphere. The help there if friendly. One of the pasta dishes was very good to my kid although butter was pooling as well about 1/4 inch deep on bottom. Want to love this place and probably go as the salad was good (another person said too much dressing) too but we will temper expectations about the pizza.

Definitely go to this place… it’s a little pricey but the pizza is unique and yummy well worth the $$. We tried the pepperoni and tallegio round pizza. It was flavored with red onions, chili flakes and chives. Every single piece of the pizza is deliciously flavored and you won’t want to leave anything behind. It’s on our list of places to go back to.

We dined here last weekend for a date night birthday celebratiion. The food was beyond amazing! The semolina-crusted zucchini appetizer was so so delicious! It came with a lemon aioli dipping sauce which I could just eat by the spoonful! Our pepperoni classic pizza was in the top 2 pizzas we’ve ever eaten! Our server, Emna, was super nice and helped with a great wine recommendation, Nero D’Avolo! The lights strung on the ceiling and comfy seating created a cozy romantic atmosphere. We will returm soon to try another pizza!

The food isn’t that great for the price tag if you ask me. I spent $47 on one pizza and the burrata appetizer. The pizza was only 8 slices, and it was dry with hardly any sauce on it. I’m truly not one to write “negative” reviews, but this establishment needs to lower their prices and/or provide bigger portions.

A wonderful addition to the Big Burrito restaurant portfolio,! The ambiance is contemporary and comfortable with a spacious bar area and extended courtyard dining. On my visit there was a diverse mix of casual friends, families, couples, and singles at the bar, and everyone was enjoying pizza. I had the square pizza which is more Detroit style with a thick-airy crust and was amazing! I’m a fan of this style of pizza and this quite possibly is my new favorite. They also offer a round New York style pizza, and will try on my next visit. Service was excellent and a super experience!

On my road trip my family and I stopped by Pittsburgh and stayed in a hotel in the outskirts of the city. The area around the hotel had a few local eclectic restaurants but I just wanted a pizza. I was expecting something like SBarro but this was so much better. Designed my own pizza with some Bianco white cheese sauce and it was really delicious and much different than the pizzas restaurants I’m used to back home. I loved the architecture inside the restaurant and outside the restaurant was more open seating and the design of the area was just very cool. Had a nice experience.
