Having spent over 20 years living in the south, I am always hesitant to try BBQ places up north … & I was pleasantly surprised! Been here twice in the past few weeks, seeing them set up down at UP Cityfest – I was drawn in & grabbed a brisket plate. Y’all have done it right & your sauces phenomenal! OK next time I’ll try something else besides the brisket … fries best anywhere!!! I’ll be back!

Great place, off the beaten path. Smoked good were good, tried the 3 meat and 2 side sampler, jalapeno bacon wrapped cheese stuffed app, and the nachos with brisket. All good was great, beer was good too. A bit pricey but we ordered more to try everything…

Me and my buddy stopped in for some BBQ because we love some good BBQ and figured let’s try it out since first time around the lake on the Harleys. We both got the brisket, and we was not disappointed at all! It’s probably one of the best briskets we ever had! It was so juicy and tender. The bark was sooo tasty and had a perfect crunch. I also got the Mac and cheese for a side, and it was delicious! The corn bread was so moist and was perfect. The homemade bbq sauce was delicious. I seriously loved all 3.The service was excellent. She made sure everything was good and took pride in the food. Highly recommend

We saw smokehouse and decided to order the 3 & 3, the meat came out not very warm, coleslaw was a bit dry. Was upset with the cornbread which turned out to be Jalapeño cornbread wasn’t aware that this is the standard instead of a option not to mention overdone. Nothing special with the fries.

We stopped here for dinner. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and a nice local place. The staff was all very friendly. Our food was very good. I had ribs, fries and smoked Gouda Mac n cheese. My husband had a salad and smoked sausage. Both of our meals came out hot and were very good.

This right here is why this smoke house is now a staple to every trip I take to Marquette, if you want brisket and pulled pork that melts in your mouth look no further, not to mention the amazing sauces and sides you get. Also started eating it before I could snag a picture but the trio of ice cream truffles was the icing on the cake while sitting out in the sun in the back yard. If I wasn’t so full after I would of had a beer haha. (Hogback burger is the other go to)
