Let me start by saying, I’ve been to China Town in San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC and Vancouver, BC as well as independent restaurants throughout. This restaurant is terrible. I was in town for a few days and craving egg rolls, GROSS!! Crab Rangoon was ok. Sweet and sour sauce was watered down and GROSS!! Fried rice seemed like yellow rice with frozen vegetables and frozen shrimp, no eggs present as in traditional Chinese cooking. Egg rolls had a terrible metallic smell and taste.

Our new BEST Chinese food takeout place located in Verona, WI, but less than 15 minutes from the west side of Madison. Small place, but does have a few tables if you choose to dine in. But the takeout is hot, filled to the brim and super tasty. We liked the General Tso Chicken. Standard fare at most chinese food places, but we really liked the chicken, better than most. Szechuan mixed vegetables is excellent. Just the right amount of spice. We also liked the noodles, Lo Mein and the Chow Mei Fun. Definitely will be back!!

One star is the minimum. If I could rate less I would. Food was a few dollars more than what was represented on the Facebook page. I ordered sesame chicken. The sauce was tasty. The rest was disappointing. After a couple of bites, I realized I didn’t taste much chicken. So, I started opening up each of the breaded bits to see how much chicken was actually in each one. For my $12.xx I received a handful of broccoli florets, approximately 2oz of chicken and the rest was breading and sauce. To show how little chicken was actually in the dish, I took a photo of the leftover breading. That photo is ALL BREADING. I also ordered LoMein. There were a handful of veggies and 95% noodles. I have been in town For the past week and a half completing training at Epic. I ordered from Chang Jiang last week. It was pretty good. I wish I had repeated that order instead of trying a new place.

Dragon City has been around in Verona for years, and the food’s always been good. My family of 6 often orders from here to get more than enough food for all 6 people, and I don’t think we’ve ever had an order error, bad food, etc. Nothing like that. And regardless of anything else, it’s always ready in 15 minutes haha.

Decent flavor, but very mild even though I asked for extra spicy.

Last time I visit this place. Order take out, women cooking was coughing, clearing her throat and spitting into the trash next to the fryer. Omg!! Did this in front of me 4 times!! I didn’t want to walk away, but almost did. Got my food, dumplings were burned, the egg roles were also burned as well. Food did not look appetizing at all. After telling the wife about what the chef was doing and looking at the food. We threw it in the garbage, and decided to make dinner. I don’t ever leave reviews. But I can’t stand to see a restaruant who is offering this type of service. I work in the marketing world, so buying good reviews is easy. Those good reviews I see aren’t real. I can’t see how they can be from my experience and the other bad reviews I see.

Just went here for the first time today after being disappointed with the other options in the area.

Tasty, satisfying, and seemingly nothing frozen. New favorite place in the area.

A humble little restaurant that makes great classic Chinese takeout fare. There are tables inside as well as a waiting area for takeaway orders. Food is prepared quickly and well. I prefer their vegetable lo mein and crab rangoon to any I’ve tried in bigger cities. It’s these simple dishes that really allow one to compare between restaurants, and I really appreciate the perfect almost al dente vegetables that are tender with just enough crunch. They don’t skimp on the veggies, which is so important when feeding vegetarians.
