Legendary pizza maker Domenico DeMarco immigrated to New York from the Province of Caserta in Italy in 1959. Hailing from a family of bakers and master pizzaiolos, he worked as a farmer on Long Island and in 1964, opened Di Fara Pizza on Avenue J in Brooklyn.
For over 50 years, DeMarco and Di Fara Pizza have received lavish praise from internationally renowned food critics, and infamous chefs. This landmark has often been named “#1 Pizzeria in New York” and “Best Italian Restaurant” by prestigious publications including Zagat, New York magazine, and New York Daily News.

We simply loved our delectible Italian dishes served fast & steaming hot. I recommend the mushroom-infused buttery Ravioli Turfado or the flavorful Chicken Marsala. Our first of many certain future visits reaped many rewards, including Kyle’s friendly, quick & knowledgeable service that complimented Dom DeMarco’s fresh, just-out-of-the-oven “to die for” sourdough bread, a crisp over-sized Caeser salad and satisfying comforting Italian morsels. Too full for dessert but a promise to return for a custom pizza. Happy hour drinks satisfied but tv noise, music from bar speakers & one unhappy toddler remind us that it’s not totally quiet inside, it’s family-friendly. Great eating! Buon Giorno!

First time trying on a friend’s recommendation and it was amazing! I got a small pizza with red peppers, sausage and mushrooms and the crust was cooked to perfection. The pizza sauce was great as well as the mozzarella. Definitely would recommend. Will try some more items on the menu for sure on my next visit!

Decided to try this place with a few friends, and we weren’t disappointed, the pizzas made very well and of course it tastes fresh, also had hot wings which were pretty good. And they even had happy hour which we ended up getting a few cocktails for half the price before 6:00 p.m. the 18 inches are pretty big for a party of four or more but depending on how big your party is will determine if you want more than one. I do recommend and I will be back. ☺️

This place seemed to be understaffed for a Sunday afternoon. It took a while to get a server and for us to get glasses of water. The water was great. The pizza had enough oil on top I could have used the oil from the pizza at home for cooking for a month. Re: Thank you Al for your acknowledgment. Now please go back to the camera and take notice that half the tables were empty. Dom’s was not busy. Only six tables in the dining area were occupied, you were understaffed. Also take notice while watching the video that it took 7 minutes to bring water. Good pizza is always worth the wait. Also take notice while watching the video of the amount of extra napkins we were using to soak up all the grease off the pizza. Take notice on the video we only ate half of the greasy pizza. Nothing to discus since we will not entertain the thought of visiting the once good eating establishment. May I suggest take a trip to Mach Rich pizza to see how a non greasy pizza is made. I have found pure Pizza Utopia in Dom Demarco’s Pizzeria! In my travels in 21 years in the United States Air Force across many states & multiple countries, never have I found pizza so superior delicious & mouth watering. Their Luca’s Pie is pure heaven on the best crust you’ll ever taste. Imagine a savory cooked pasta delightfully simmering on homemade freshly baked bread. There just aren’t words to describe the sensations your taste buds will go through. Even though I live in Henderson, I will find my way to Dom Demarco’s on a regular basis. Their pizza is superb as were the salads, drinks, & appetizers. The atmosphere & vibe of the restaurant is totally cool & inviting. This is a Must visit eatery!

After seeing Dom Demarco’s Pizzeria TV ads we decided to give them a try. Easy to find on Charleston Blvd off Hwy 215. Lots of parking with handicap access. There are stairs as well as ramps for strolling between shops. Interior is neat and clean with inside seating or patio. Hostess was nice. She described the pizza recipes. We ordered the large Magherita for take out. The hostess opened the box for us to see it before we left just in case. It was anout 20 inches in diameter. It was delicious. We ate only half of it. Cheese and sauce were very tasty. The crust was too thin for me. They also offer the Sicilian thick crust rectangle pizza. We will probably return to try the other recipes.
