Please read all the reviews before wasting 2 hours at this Joe’s. We did but chose to take our chances and will never get back the 2 hours of our lives we wasted here. The food was just awful. My Maine lobster was ice cold….let me repeat….ICE cold. My sisters potatoes were like rocks and her fish was horribly dry. We ordered cheese sticks with our fried pickles and they were empty. NO cheese…TWICE. Basically, we went for the Sangria and fried pickles when it was all said and done. We did speak with the manager and he took our meals off the bill. Thank God not all Joe’s Crab Shacks are as bad as this one.

Threw away $105 on lunch for two! Food was poorly prepared. Though waitress was nice she was clueless that the food was crap. My order was supposed to have potatoes, which they forgot, and when brought out later were refrigerator cold. $20 for a drink and you can’t keep the cup? Gratuity included and they didn’t tell us so gave the waitress an EXTRA $20 on top of rest. Food wasn’t just disappointing and barely cooked, it was just plain bad. When I reported our experience through the website to the designated email for complaints they did not reply, now even a month later. Not only never going back, telling our friends to avoid it like Ebola.

Won’t be back EVER again! $100 dollar meal for cold food, horrible service, and hardly no one was even in the place on Easter! If you enjoy garlic butter on everything you’re in luck! Greasy, oily, hard to eat mess. More servers “cleaning” to get off their shifts than to run our meal out to us, and yet the whole place is an oiled down mess. A broom can’t sweep up greasy floors! Didn’t eat more than two bites of my meal and the server never asked if everything was OK. When the server kept messing up she had to talk to her manager. Manager stared us down and not once did I see him talking to any tables of how their food was. Should have taken a clue from all the people going into the cheesecake factory instead of the crabshack. Save your money from this place!

Was told a 20 minute wait because they were short staffed. Not my problem. Sat at the bar waited 5 minutes for service, I drank a bottle of beer before I had to ask why my wife hadn’t gotten her drink yet. We were told it was a complicated drink to make so had to wait for person that knew how to make it. I’m not dissing the staff because they are only as good as their leaders. This will be the last time I drive 20 some miles to eat here. This place needs close or the manager be fired.

Oh boy… this place is a disaster! We called ahead and even got a confirmation text but when we arrived we were ‘not in the system’. They did accommodate and seated us within about 10 minutes as there was a 45 minute wait for newcomers. Once we were seated, we noticed there were several empty tables and we wondered if maybe they didn’t have enough wait staff to serve that night (Saturday night 10-12-13).

Very disappointing. After placing our drink order it took ten minutes for them to make it to the table although we were seated ten feet from the bar. apps were ok, calamari was over cooked and was more breading than anything else. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was very well done. When I sent it back to the kitchen the waiter brought the same steak back to my table and said that I could eat the sides while they make a new steak. I thought this was odd. He than, with the assistance of another waitress brought me my steak, I cut it open in front of them and it was rare. I could not bring my self to send it back. A manager approached our table asked if we were doing alright she noticed that there were two steaks on the table and immediately walked away before we could answer. Save your money eat somewhere else.

We came in late and was fully aware that the service could be lacking as most people are ready to go home and tired. This was not the case! Kayla was awesome and gave us great service! The food on the other hand was exactly how we have had at another JCS at open time…lobster was overcooked and rubbery…and all 5 of us after laying down $200, left hungry. After even mustering through the poor food. For some reason chain seafood places just can’t get it right…Joe’s is no different. The house wine is house wine…I get it but at $8 a glass I would expect it to be equal not worst than the $5.49 Sutter Home Bottle I drink at home. We tipped very well because it wasn’t the server’s fault that the food was not only poor but very overpriced. We will not be going back to this chain.

Ate there last night 4-28-16. The server was good and that’s about it. We had 9 people in our party and our food came out at different times. Pictures on the website do not reflect what you actually get. I ordered a Steampot wlth lobster,clams and crab legs. Luke warm when I got it and several of the clam shells we empty, sad. Not only was the food sub par when I received my bill it was 80.00, OK that was right, but when they ran my card the ticket was 87.00. They said they would not only fix it but would take off an appetizer to bring it down to 73.00 for the trouble. Checked my account today and they charged me 87.00… Will never ever go back!!

We’ve eaten here twice so far and it doesn’t compare as well as to the other Shack’s in bigger cities. The service is only average. The food quality isn’t as good. I ordered the clam steampot the last time we were there and I guess they wanted to serve me dwarf sized clams. I complained to my server because I wanted big-big clams not baby clams. She brought me some more clams and it made up for the baby ones. Still, a customer shouldn’t have to complain about things like that. The servers and cooks should care more about their jobs than this.

Terrible service. Waited upfront for 5 minutes waiting on someone to greet me. Finally someone came and I asked to sit out on the patio bc it’s cold insides, she said no bc no one was working that area (however people were eating out there). The mushrooms I love were no longer on the menu. I asked to substitute my corn for broccoli the waitress said no, I travel all over the nation for business, I’ve never been told no for this request. While I wait for my food to come out, guess what??? They seated a family of 4 on the patio, the patio I was told no about. Also, the crab were very soft and salty. I didn’t even need a cracker to crack the claws, I just squeezed them with my fingers and they cracked. I will never return.
