My waitress Shaya was fabulous, she was prompt and courteous. I order grit bowl that was supposed to have Salmon but there was barely any salmon in my grits for the $2 up charge. Beyond that my food was very tasty. My mother had the steak and egg plate. She said her steak was seasoned well and was juicy and tender. She also stated that they did not skimp on the cheese in her eggs. I also had 2 mimosas . Our table was a lil sticky when we sat down, but overall a good experience and I would definitely come back.

Today is the first time that I dined at the Flying Biscuit. It is a decent brunch place in the Toco Hills Shopping Center. They do offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. They also offer outdoor seating as well. I order their plant based burger and it came with a side of kettle chips. The burger was pretty good. The service was a little mediocre though. I have worked in the restaurant industry for five years my and server really did not give me much of an inviting greet. He kind of just came up to me asked me what I wanted to drink without any type of introduction as to who he was. Once I ordered my food and he delivered it I didn’t see him again until he dropped off my check. It was just kind of an odd way of serving your table. But I will still give this place another try as there are other options on their menu I would like to try.

Great breakfast spot with lots of variety. Restaurant is bright and fun with great murals. Breakfast menu has a wide variety from oat meal to eggs, waffles and omelettes. If you like grits be sure to try their signature recipe. Staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is located in the Toco Hills shopping center. Parking is abundant.

The service was on point but the food was kinda meh. The vibe was fun and cheery I may try them again and get something else. I had the dish The Best I’ve Ever Had and it was hardly that. I also love that they have a splash pad for the kiddos.

This is not the first time I’ve been to a Flying Biscuit by any means, but the first time I’ve been to the fairly new one at Toco Hill. First, the negative side is minor, hence the 4 stars for atmosphere: it was very loud, and the interior architecture contributes to that; I’m not sure how sound abatement could be achieved easily. With the sound level, it also felt more crowded unless casual than either the original Candler Park location, where I have dined on and off over the years, or the Midtown location which is more in between Candler Park and Toco Hill in character and atmosphere. However, some people may prefer the buzzier and busier atmosphere of the Flying Biscuit at Toco Hill. On the other hand, The positives essentially outweighed that one negative for me: The service was excellent (“Jasmine,” says my receipt) and the food itself very well prepared and presented, much better I would say than recent years at the Candler Park location, though it is difficult to beat the original Candler Park Flying Biscuit, before it was bought and corporatized. I had the bacon and eggs breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled, grits, the infamous biscuit, and the greatest of rarity’s for restaurants these days: crispy bacon that actually came out crispy as requested! The eggs were not overcooked or hard, but rather a soft near-omelette-like, evenly cooked presentation without burn spots; nicely prepared. The bacon and eggs were well complimented grits and biscuit, the latter with a side of their signature cranberry-apple butter. The black decaf coffee was quite good so I had three cups, the cups not being particularly large; certainly not compared to my preferred coffee mug at home. But that’s okay too, because the server was attentive and kept it replenished. I dined solo, as is typical for me. My overall combined rating: 4.7 stars.

It was an hr before they closed. They had already sold out of most of the food. My biscuit was hard and dry. I would have given the food a 1, but the flavor was good. The Coke was kind of flat. I was underwhelmed. I’ll definitely go back, just not close to closing, to give it a 2nd try. Maybe another location.

Arriving around lunch time it was a little busy. We had a 10 minute wait. Our order include hot chicken waffles, stuffed French toast, and waffles with strawberries. Our server was very courteous and attentive although during their peak time. The food was good quality and temperature was on point. The chicken sausage was especially tasty and a wonderful healthy alternative to bacon. Left satisfied and not overstuffed.
