An amazing experience. Southern like.. Cafeteria style buffet and grilled fried options. Personnel on point..friendly welcoming. Had lots of varieties of sweet teas. They also have a banquet/event room. They have stepper and line dance classes. I had enough food to last 2 days. Great neighborhood/South Suburbs hidden gem.

This restaurant offers the best soul food that I have had in a long time. Everything was clean. The server made you feel comfortable, and she was very knowledgeable about the food. The gentleman who cleared the table was polite and friendly. The young lady who refreshed our drinks was polite and friendly as well. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and to anyone I meet. The owner, Mr. Henderson happened to come in, and we talked for a while before he introduced himself and asked if we had any feedback about the service or anything else. This is a great place to visit on those days that you don’t want to.

Finally a Five Star earned, we don’t give five stars often if at all; especially for a first time visit. Soul Foodies know that for some restaurants it seems that Salt is the only seasoning that is in the pantry. Here that is NOT a thing. The Food here is EXCELLENT, the staff is courteous and the Owner is Professional and concerned about the food quality and the customers satisfaction, yes we did have a chance to speak with the owner. Our guests were satisfied, this was the first time we brought guests to a first time visit to a restaurant.

Went for Mothers Day for the first time. I ordered (2) 3 piece Chicken wing dinners and a beef short rib dinner. The chicken wings were okay. However, they only give 1 beef short rib for $30 and it was DRY and bland. NO GRAVY and served with plain white rice. The dressing is bland. The cabbage is TERRIBLE with a strong taste of vinegar. The yams were not sweet. We will NEVER eat here again.

I bought 2 dinners. Pork chops were tough, yams were not sweet. Salmon was good , rice was bland, cabbage was crunchy and the chocolate Cake was dry and the slice was small for 6 dollars. This was a 40 dollar tragedy. Threw it in the garbage. I wouldn’t feed my dog this. ♀️ Soul food where?

First time visiting. Poor customer service with myself and elders. I waited 30mins for baked chicken meal and fried catfish. The cooks rang the bell(my meals were finally ready) the waitress was on her personal cell phone talking to a friend with her back turned to me, so I said excuse me,I believe my meal is finally ready, she turn her head and rolled her eyes as if she was bothered. Once again I waited 30mins already. Very poor customer service and I had better soul food. Cornbread was hard and old, dressing was horrible. I went around 1230pm on Sunday. I wouldn’t refer anyone to this place.

The lady at the register obviously didn’t want to be bothered with any questions while cutting a cake. Had me waiting so long to place my order as she openly counted the drawer and tickets. I just walked out. Horrible vibe. And not to mention, I looked in the back and the Cook was actually eating and cooking. Literally was eating with one hand and cooking with the other.
