The Hopland Tap is a charming place at the gateway of Mendocino County. The bartenders are friendly, skilled and offered specialty drinks. Its a place that can feel like home. I enjoyed connecting with the locals and I will definitely stop by the next time I pass through Hopland.

Hopland Tap is housed in a building that has been around since the 1880s. It is a cute little bar. The bartender was very nice–he loves his job and where he lives–in the little town of Hopland (he is a happy Bay Area transplant). The alcohol and the food prices are very reasonable–especially if you live in the Bay Area.

We hosted our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner there. Cheryl and Ron were so great and easy to work with. Everyone at the party had a great time and loved Hopland Tap. The food, drinks and service was great. I could not have picked a better place.

The place is terrible. Very empty if you ask me. I came as a big group there, it was impossible to find parking due to that the city parking lot was small with barely any room to park. You’d be lucky if you find a parking space. Now the food is absolutely terrible! I am only giving it 3 stars because the tater tots were amazing, but other than that, it sucks. But even worse, the waiters were super rude to us, and they hid some big facts from us (like that the menu is a fixed menu, which we fell into that trap during drinks, because drinks don’t come with refills, we ended up paying for each fool we did by complete accident), and didn’t treat us very friendly.

Really excellent local bar/pub. The wings were very good, the beer selection is solid, the decor is beautiful and retro (not a ton of older solid brick places around here), the outdoor seating is plentiful and the service window to serve outside customers is a really cool touch. We’ll be back! This is a great destination bar for motorcycle rides.

Went on Wednesday evening for the Blues out in the garden under the tent. Band was incredible (Wendy DeWitt) great Braut sandwich and fresh tasty Beer on tap. Really good turnout who stayed for all the music!

I have tried almost all their burgers plus I’m Gluten Free and they’re delicious! If you’re also GF you need to try this place. The GF bun is so fluffy, tastes so good and does not fall apart! The food is just not amazing but their staff and owner are so nice! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner last night and he’s was above and beyond on customer service!
