I really wanted to like this restaurant and was excited that it moved into the community. On the plus side, wait staff was friendly and suggested an entree when asked.

The waitress was nice and friendly, very attentive, nice look to the restaurant but the food could have need better! My husband had the sampler platter. The ribs were reheated and dry, the pulled chicken was dry ,and the corn on the cob was dry! The corn bread was delicious it was served warm with butter. The coleslaw was good as well and the beef brisket was cooked well and tender. The sausage was also good! Beer was fresh!

I had the Beef Brisket. Quite tasty & tender. Relaxed atmosphere. Great for casual dining & small groups. They had a live Jazz Guitarist playing that wss excellent. Our waitress was wonderful. I WILL be back!

Went for brunch at the Glenwood location…no brunch is offered. The decor was cute but floor and tables were dirty from the night before. Menus were smeared with BBQ sauce!!! I will give 1 stars because the shrimps and grits were good.

My first visit here I called in for takeout. The salmon and greens were okay and overpriced. I decided to give it a second try. My second visit here I brought my family, a party of 5. Parking was horrible! And there are only about 12 tables in this place. 1 table was reserved, which could’ve have sat my party. We waited an hr and still had no seating. (The party who had the reserved table still hadn’t showed up) We went to Beggars pizza instead, which was delicious as always. I was excited about this place being close to home, but I won’t be returning. The idea of the restaurant was not thought out completely. It’s apart of a chain and they should be able to accommodate ALL customers.

I got the platter as I do the first time I go to any BBQ spot. The “smoked” meats tasted like they were cooked in the oven . No smoke flavor at all. Brisket was dry. Fiance got the rib tips, they were pretty much ALL fat. Only reason I’m doing 2 stars instead of one is because the people were nice. Service was slow but (what I believed to be) the owner gave me my whiskey flight free of charge because it took so long. I was excited to finally see a Chicago style BBQ spot but unfortunately I won’t be returning

The food was delicious, waitress was nice. It took to long to get our food. We ordered cornbread, didn’t get. We tried to order dessert the peach pie wasn’t unthawed. We were given excuses why it took so long. I probably would go back , just to give it a second chance.

Friday night dinner. Had the southern fried chicken. The chicken was moist and the breading was crisp and not greasy. Sweet Potato fries were plentiful and cooked perfectly. Service was good . Will be going back again.

The porkchop was fried and seasoned to perfection! Delicious. The bacon maple glazed donuts were ok, the twist of bacon was a bit much….but still gets a thumb up. The platter was only enough for one, and it costs as much as a platter from Famous Dave’s, which easily feeds 2-3. I was told that the bread pudding was a bit dry, but the flavor was there. Reason for three stars? A little pricey for location. A little pricey, in general….and I am usually not one who takes a whole lot of issue with cost. Restrooms were not tidy at all and are positioned awkwardly. I will probably need to try this place again, just to be fair…..maybe they need to get some kinks out of the chain. Has great potential & brings a bit of excitement to the area! Definitely could use some tweaking.

I have no idea why this place would have three stars! My family and I stopped in randomly as we were passing through on a trip. I live in TN and have never had better BBQ. The pulled pork the brisket were A+! Also my son had chicken and waffles with fried chicken stops and they were to die for. So we’re the desserts especially the cinnamon roll! I had 2 $$$$ meals in Chicago that weren’t even close. The place was also clean and I liked the rustic style. I will make sure to stop next time I’m passing through!
