Good service though the food was just not good. The rice & beans were off color & bland. The “enchilada” had what tasted like spaghetti sauce on it. The flavor on everything was just off. I’m willing to bet the kind folks working prepare their own food completely different to how it’s served. Definitely worth the drive to Champaign-Urbana for authentic Mexican food.

My friends had lunch at el toro today. We sat outside like many others. The staff was nice and attentive and the dishes were ready very quickly. The food was great, the chips and salsa were fantastic. They have a wide variety of vegetarian dishes

My favorite restaurant in all of Saint Joseph, I never get sick of the food. I have a lot of memories here, and I never say no when I’m invited here. The staple food of Saint Joseph tbh.
