Everything is so so delicious, we come to Portland about every couple years or so. We always make a point to go there for at least 2 meals each time. The line can be crazy, we were there at 10:45 and by 11:09 all the tables were taken. It will become 30 to 40 minutes wait. We were told 3 to 4 PM is the time to come but there are times wait can be 2 to 3 hours long. Trust me it is worth it. The next day we came again at 10:30, we were already the 2nd group in line.

Went with high expectations, but sadly it did not live up to it. Took about an hour to get seated because of some confusion with the text messaging system. Most of the tables are set up against bars on hard stools with no backs. My wife tried a sampling of a dozen oysters and really liked the Ethos oysters. I ordered the brown buttered lobster roll, and was very disappointed. The lobster tasted good, but I do not like the steamed rolls and the portion size was extremely small. We also ordered some fish bites as an appetizer but they were severely over cooked and mostly better. We sent them back because they just did not taste good. My wife also ordered a fried oyster sandwich which she did enjoy. I am confident there must be better places in Portland to eat.

Rainy days we lucked out with canceled reservations and got a seat in the back room counter seating looking outside… Our waitress was fantastic… Very knowledgeable and I love her no nonsense attitude. She definitely knew her stuff! Cocktails were great, wine was great and the food was even better! Highly recommend!

We came here about 5 years ago and now back again for the second time. All the items we ordered came out quickly and were so fresh. The clam chowder was so good with big chunks of clams and the fish and chips was perfect. Come here early if you don’t want to wait in line for a table since they don’t take reservations.

Highly recommended and it did not disappoint!! A little wait but well worth the time. Service was great and quick. Server was helpful and pleasant. We had the Lobster Roll that they are famous for and the Cole Slaw was mouth watering. Round this off with an Allagash beer and you will have a great meal . A must visit while you’re in Portland, Maine!!

The best oysters and lobster roll !! The yellow fin tuna tar tar was very crunchy a little spicy and delicious !! The lobster roll is warm buttery and flavorful. A good amount of lobster, super fresh. We say out side with our pup! Everyone loved him, super Dog friendly !! The oysters were so fresh and immaculate. Highly recommended. We actually got a lobster roll from the competition and there is no competition. Eventide is the best lobster roll !! Definitely visit if your in Maine! A little hard to find but just one or two blocks from main strip.

The Eventide Oyster Restaurant is one of the best oyster experiences I have ever had. They had an amazing selection of Maine coast oyster selections which where incredibly fresh and perfectly iced! This is an oyster lovers paradise and you should go out of your way to come here for the world class oysters!

Great spot for fresh seafood, small plates and a raw bar. Really good food; the ceviche and crudo I got were very fresh with and nicely put together with flavor, texture, color, and plating. Great selection of area oysters and I appreciate the fact that the wait staff know their stuff when you ask for specific recommendations.
