Food was really good just wish they had thrown at least 2 or 3 langostinos in the molcajete like some other restaurants does. Overall food and service was great

It’s a bit more expensive than other Islas locations. With that being said, the expectations are a little higher.

A great Mexican seafood experience. I love their seafood soup as well as their shrimp soup. The ceviche is just wow. The green salsa they offer as a teaser is fire.. nothing bad in the menu. The only flaw is zero for a vegetarian to eat.

The place is very good, I would have liked them to have shrimp cockroaches and broth 7 seas but hey, it is what it is. The attention is good the food of good quality I recommend it.

I worked here before and as I’m reading the ratings, I can agree on the food change, just keep in mind there’s 2 great cooks/chefs that no longer work there as well as bar tenders and waitresses that had worked there for years, which is the cause of the change. There’s also a new owner and manager. To the ones complaining about prices, keep in mind taxes went up, therefore everything went up and keep in mind, catching sea creatures is not an easy job. Also about the service they do have a sign that they are hiring. Each waitress gets about 5 tables as people come in, specially on weekends, so they all do their best to serve everyone well. There not Speedy Gonzalez specially if they are new waitresses, so be patient.

I used to love this place. We used to go once a week. Unfortunately the food has changed, and not for good. We recently went and ordered a molcajete Kora. The molcajete was not hot, like it usually is. The food was warm at best. I’m not sure if the molcajete sat there for a while. The molcajete consisted of a small piece of fish, 6 or 7 shrimp, 3 mussels 2 pieces of the thinnest crab legs (not a cluster) and all imitation crab. Please see the photo, so you can see for yourself. I hadn’t ordered that in a while but definitely didn’t expect to pay $36.99 for a molcajete with 80% imitation crab. I will say the service was good. The waitress was very attentive. The chicharon de pescado was good. Just steer clear of the molcajete.

The food is pretty good…. I got the red snapper, that comes with rice and salad. The pico de galo was seasoned very well, but the guacamole was mostly tomatoes with very little actual avocado. The main complaint I have is the service, the restaurant was fully staffed with waitress, and bus-servers…but it took 10 minutes for us to get a water. When the waitress came over she was Spanish speaking only, and I speak English. Instead of her asking her coworkers to simply switch tables with her since she didn’t understand English, she made us suffer through 15 extra minutes of her trying to figure out what we were trying to order and playing at the kiosk to input the order. She of course got it wrong, and the bi-lingual waitress had to come over and confirm our order after all. If you decide to try them take a Spanish speaker with you. If not, don’t waste your time.

The food is great. We had the camarones zarandeados and they have the most amazing garlic and char flavor (I wish I could get a bucket of those). The langostinos are good too! The sides -rice, salad, etc.- are fresh and tasty. My only complaint is that the waitresses are really slow! There were about 7 free tables and they to us to wait 15 minutes for a table, that turned into 30 minutes. There were other families waiting too. Also the waiting area is really small and messy.
