Mitchell was our server. He was friendly, had a fantastic attitude, quick & efficient! Customer service doesn’t exist in this post pandemic world so to get fantastic service that was so effortless for him is amazing. You can tell he was just genuinely enjoying life. I’m thankful for people like him who still have some hospitality left to give. My kids and I come here often they enjoy sitting on the patio when the days are nice. This really is “our spot” thanks Mitchell for making it extra special today with your fantastic service.

Went here twice on my weekend trip to Charlotte. Amazing staff and service! Waiters are incredibly nice and the wait for food is very short! I ordered the shrimp & flounder platter one day and the best cheeseburger on the boardwalk the next. Shrimp and flounder were ok, tartar sauce was good and made the fish much better. I wish the hush puppies were a bit less oniony but this was my first time having them so I’m no expert. The cheeseburger was AMAZING! I got it medium well and it was so good. Only thing that disappointed me a bit was the corn and broccoli, no seasoning and very plain. Overall I’d recommend it! Decent food and the vibes are good.

We moved our daughter to CLT for work and wanted to stop with everyone for a family meal. This place was fantastic. Spacious, service was excellent and the food was so good. I got the 3 choice Q tray- Beer Cann Chicken, smoked wings with a chipotle sauce, and Ribs., fries and Mexican street corn salad. The ribs were my favorite, really smoky, tender, wonderful flavor. The Smokey wings were also great and would get them again. The wife got fried haddock and said it was as close to New England seafood as she has had – she is from Boston so that says a lot. Other entrees at the table were more Smokey wings with Thai chili, and spicy garlic (spicy garlic was freaking awesome), Pork BBQ sandwich ( he didn’t really like it, said it had too much fatty pieces in it. ) I guess the only thing I didn’t really like was the Mexican Steer Corn salad ( it was a cold salad- it wasn’t bad, everyone just thought it was Mexican street corn). The drinks were great- I had one of the buckets- maybe Hippie Summer- I could drink these all day- probably couldn’t walk if I did but…. Someone got the Pina Colada also very good. Service was top notch. It is also located on the Boardwalk of some lake, highly recommended to do BEFORE you eat! But it was fun and you can feed the ducks and geese. We will be back! Oh almost forgot – get the DOLE WHIP ice cream for dessert!

Great experience last night. I’ve been coming here for many years and its always been decent. But last night everything was top notch. Food came out within 10 minutes and was delicious (flounder platter & shrimp/flounder platter). It was a little pricey but it’s worth it and expected for fresh seafood. Service was excellent and beautiful evening sitting by the lake.

I was visiting Charlotte from NJ. Tried this restaurant because of the good reviews. Reviews were right. The food was really good and the service was awesome. The Boss Margarita is a delicious drink. I had 2 of them. Our party of 7 was impressed and had a great time. We will come back next time we visit Charlotte.

Because of the great reviews, I was so excited to try this place, but I was left disappointed. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, but our food and service left us disappointed. To start, our waitress was entirely inattentive and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. After we placed our order, she stopped by our table once before the food came out. My friends asked for a beer refill and she said she would get it. By the time our food came out, about 15 minutes later, she still hadn’t returned with the beer so my friends just went up to the bar to get a refill instead. Our food looked very good, but I personally didn’t care much for it. I ordered the beer can chicken which came with 2 sides so I got mac and cheese and hush puppies. The hush puppies were yummy but the Mac and cheese lacked salt. The biggest disappointment was the beer can chicken. The sauce on the outside of the skin was yummy but once I ate the skin of the chicken, I was left with a flavorless slab of chicken. Thankfully, it was tender but it had no seasoning or salt whatsoever. It also had no taste of beer which is what I was seeking for. At the end of our meal, our waitress came over with the card machine. After we put our cards in, a tip option came up. Instead of giving us some privacy to choose a tip, our waitress stared at the machine while we made a selection. That made it very uncomfortable and awkward because we weren’t fond of the service so we weren’t going to tip much but we felt obligated to tip more since the waitress was staring. Overall, not a great experience and definitely nothing memorable. Probably won’t be back.
