Found this place on the spur of a whim, will absolutely be returning and have already recommended to my peers. Food was ready within 15 minutes of calling, the lady on the phone was patience and kind, greeting me with a smile and positive attitude when I walked in as well. The food was also pretty great, the jollof was fluffy and flavorful, the goat meat stew was yummy as well! Goat wasn’t too over cooked which I appreciated. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the plantains. Will eat here again!

Went recently. ( prior COVID, had always seen it but never opened when I was in the area ). My guest and I arrived, ( cold and windy outside). No one was there, so we seated ourselves and waited or someone to welcome us, wait on us. Finally the owner comes with one menu. We remark that it’s cold in the restaurant and he leaves quickly to turn on the heat . Ok, food arrived, no water offered. Food was good but expensive. ( we’ve eaten African food before and my guest lived and taught in Nigeria before returning to the States). No wait staff, decor boasted nothing of Africa ( no photos, paintings, music) Well, music was so low, I looked around ( still empty) where it was coming from. A TV above the counter had an African video on). Several folk came to dine, left soon after and some picked up food. We were the first in and last to leave and it was close to 1 pm.) When the bill was presented we had options. Pay cash, no fee. Pay by credit card fee would be imposed. Not impressed, not returning. Suggestions: ‘ Welcome. If this is your first time eating African food, please allow me to offer some recommendations. Sorry, it’s cold in here. I’ll move the heater closer to you. I hope you enjoy the food and we look forward to your return.’ ANY of those comments would have been good to hear. Had more conversation about the bill than our entire time there.

Small but neat place, tucked away in a nondescript strip mall. Totally worth exploring though. Friendly and fast service. Small but quintessential menu, focused around jollof rice, but also featuring fufu, and various soups. I had the jollof, plantain, and goat meat combo. Flavorful and spicy without being overpowering. Simply delicious.

The service was excellent and the food was prompt. However, I felt ripped off. I paid $18.01 for this plate of Jollof rice and beef. Only two pieces of beef. The food was below average, was served room temperature, and tasted mediocre. The meat was also extremely overcooked and tough.

Looking into more African places to eat. Now that I know dodo is fried plantains, Ill have to add to my order 🙂 Yes, going to different culture restaurants gives and education and the menu here is no exception. The menu items are in are in Nigerian dialect that I need to ask. They have translations in english, but that not the point of coming to an ethnic restaurant. The wait wasnt bad and the food appears to be home cooked. My meal was yam porridge in the pictures

The portions are not worth the price at all. The taste of the food is not up to par. To top it all off the cashier didn’t give me all of my change back because they didnt have it ‍ waste of time and a rip off! Go across the street to Floras!

I had my first ever FuFu from here with Chicken in a sauce. The sauce was great, but I not a fan on how the chicken is cooked, which is how they cook it and that’s fine. The next time I ordered the Fish in the same sauce. I loved that one. If you’re looking for spicy, flavorful food, I give this a 2 thumbs up.

I’ve been coming here for a long time now, but unfortunately in the recent past, each time I buy food from here I tell myself its going to be the last time.

I can’t figure out which Nigerian restaurant is the worst in Pg county. They are all horrendous, they cheat, and swindle customers. $30 for a plate of rice and goat meat and these typical Nigerian scammers put no goat meat in my to go order. I called them to let them know that there was no meat in my order and was told there’s nothing they can do. Typical shameless Nigerian business. I’ll rather support the Chineese Quickway down the block.
