We have had take out from Taste of India twice in the last several weeks since the new owners reopened the restaurant. Both times the meals were delicious, flavorful with generous portions. We will certainly be regular customers again and we are delighted the restaurant has reopened although Bharat is very much missed.

We experience a real taste in dal makhani, chicken madras and paneer makhani. I loved all the dishes. Owner being super busy with online orders still manage us for the dine in as we requested. Food was amazing, mouth watering. Keema naan blows my mind. I enjoyed the food and Gupshup(small talk) with owner during the visit. Must visit. Mango lassi was perfectly blend. Love it. Must visit if you are in Mystic connecticut.

Insanely delicious, superbly prepared, phenomenal presentation. Owner was pleasant and friendly, but not over the top. Tiny little, however quaint – truly authentic dining experience. I highly recommend this location should you find yourself in Mystic, especially if you find yourself Indian cuisine curious.

So glad that taste of India has reopened a year after the tragic death of their lovely owner- was happy to find a bright dining room and cheery service and wonderful food: exciting indo-Chinese options new to the menu and lunch special!

Beware! As the name suggests, you can only taste here the food, but not complete your meal as the quantity is very less. Bharat claims to serve 16oz how does it matter, and the weight include the serving iron bowl as well! Bharat who takes orders doesn’t like fellow Indians since he cannot fool them on quantity, quality and price! Actually, as long we go he says we are closed, while his sign board says open! Later he pretend doing a favor he asked us to site but mention to hurry without clarity. Surprisingly, the menu says 10pm it closes! I am bit ashamed of what he’s doing as fellow Indian since people mistake his deeds and tiny mind views reflect large Indian hospitality and culture for his greed and manipulate nature. The Star and my tips here is for at least providing the taste. Go and eat in big town or cities and I don’t regret if his local community doesn’t support him anymore.
