This DQ drive-thru is very slow. Nearly every night there’s a line of cars wrapped around the building. And their exterior could use a bit of TLC. Missing signage, leaking water stains down the side of the building, cracked brick foundation, etc. You’d think with the tens of thousands they’re making every day, they could afford to beautify their premises and expand their drive-thru to decrease wait times…

They were super busy and if I hadn’t already ordered online I would have skipped it. It was after 7, so I figured the dinner rush would have dwindled out a bit. It’s definitely not a large space and very claustrophobic. I waited a bit to be helped, but the staff were really busy, but quite helpful. On my way home discovered I received the wrong blizzard. Really disappointed especially since I drove 17 minutes one way and paid extra for additional pieces. But I wasn’t too shocked as it kinda looked like a blizzard roulette with the other ones coming out and a bunch sitting on the shelf. I’d just be more cautious if I had a food allergy. The prices are just too high for the quality of food and ice cream especially. I would personally stick with Culvers across the street.

Their service was awful. They set all the blizzards on the counter and let the service lady do the rest. No ticket. No recipe under the treat. Nothing. And when she gave out the blizzards, she didn’t get rid of the recipes. It was a guessing game. At one point, the front desk guy came out to help and he said, “What’s done?” Indicating that their system is complete and utter garbage.

We attempted to make a purchase an order online. We are from Cedar Rapids and our family lives in Des Moines. I was attempting to make a purchase for my father’s birthday. When we were attempting to make this purchase online, it kept occurring an error. We called with no resolution. My father is 62, Im 38 and he has been getting cakes since I could remember. EVERY YEAR. When I showed up, they did not even have the cake held back for us. I had to grab one from the case. The manager even yelled at me, I guarantee I was not raising my voice. She told me that he called and kept getting an error and told me I needed to go to the case to get a cake. EVERYONE was watching the show. Best part is I was not asked to come back to the front but I had to wait in line. I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK TO THIS POS PLACE AGAIN. I’LL CHOSE COLD STONE and Dad will just have to compromise.
