A hidden gem in Kure Beach. I can give my stamp of approval that the Italian food here is well done. I grew up in an Italian family, and this is one of the few restaurants that put fresh basil in the pasta. A sweet surprise for me! Delicious! The shrimp with alla vodka and angel hair pasta was amazing. Not over salted and the perfect consistency. My husband had the chicken cutlet parm. It was tasty. My son had the pork chop with baked potato, very moist. I had the kb sunset martini, and it was perfect as it was not too strong, and it looked swanky, too. Service was good and the atmosphere was very nice. Casual neat attire. Great date night or friends, special occasion dinner.

It was my first time coming to this restaurant. I had already heard so many good things about the food and excellent service from my nephew Darnell. From the moment we arrived, it our waitresses were very attentive. They gave us time to eat and enjoy each appetizer before they brought out the salad and then the main courses. The meatball appetizers, bruchetta, mozzarella sticks, and the homemade bread that you dipped in olive oil dip….. everything fresh, homemade, and delicious. Needless to say, I barely had room for my main course, which was Rum Runner Pork Chops with grilled peaches. Mmmmm. Im going home with leftovers, but Freddie’s was the best restaurant and meal I have had in a very long time. Three thumbs up for our server Kelly

This place is a great hidden gem on the island. It is a small, cozy restaurant with red checkered table cloth and classic Italian and Italian American food. Complimentary salads and bread is brought to the table before your meal we well. I highly recommend a reservation since it is a small restaurant usually it is booked out through the evening.

Absolutely delicious! This would be a perfect place for a romantic date. We had a family gathering this time, and it was good for that too. The food was timed perfectly, and each course was amazing! Calamari, yum! Salad, so fresh and light (loved the beets!). Steak cooked to perfection!

We went in without a reservation and sat at the bar (first come first serve). The staff was super friendly, the drinks were great, the food was delicious. We got the pork chop with mashed potatoes, and the shrimp scampi. The free salad is unique and really good, and it took everything we had to not get dessert because we were stuffed. Great experience!

Ahhh, Freddie’s! One of our favorite places for dinner in the area. The pork chops are amazing, and can you say huge?! Hubby had chops with apple walnut topping, and I had chops with Freddie’s Special Sauce, which is a balsamic reduction. Both were excellent! We both had mashed potatoes, thick homemade delicious. Round it out with a hot fresh bread and a salad with a tasty vinaigrette dressing. Small place, with limited seating, so call ahead for reservations. You won’t be disappointed.
