It’s one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve had in Portland. The soup dumplings are my favorite. The skin is thin, and the stuffing is juicy and tasty.

Instagram won. We saw it on the explore page and went to try it. Around Old Chinatown and across from the new MEET FRESH, Taiwanese desert spot, I was surprised that businesses were coming back in. I typically only went to SPYCE and the food hall after a visit to the water front and cherry blossoms two blocks away, so this was a welcomed change.

Good dim sum is getting harder and harder to come by, and this place does it 100% right. The portion sizes, the flavors, and just the overall quality of every item we tried were just phenomenal. A must try if you’re in downtown!

The dumplings were pretty good but both our orders of dumplings were one short. They ended up giving us the missing ones but a little weird that they can’t count up to ten. Added a picture of a single dumpling for funsies

Finally, an authentic Chinese establishment arrived in Portland! Cin Ding offers many typical American favorite as well as non-traditional Chinese dishes like braised pork belly with preserved vegetables, which has to he one of my favorites.

So this place has only been open for about a month and the food is amazing. My wife got the chicken chow fun which had chicken wife noodles bean sprout and other veggies. I got the Mongolian Beef that had onions and green onions. Also got the order of wonton in chili sauce and soup dumplings. The reason why this is a 4/5 star was because I had ordered soup dumplings and everyone around us kept getting theirs but I did not get mine yet. I reached out to the hostess (who I believe may have been the owner?) and she apologized for the delay as there was a mixed up in orders. At first it was going to be a 5 mins wait then ended up a 20 mins wait in total. We were always done when the soup dumplings arrived. The hostess did provide 2 free coke bottles for the delay and the taste of the soup dumplings was far better than I expected and honestly well worth the wait. The atmosphere was perfect; not the feeling of “I don’t belong” ever came and the food portions were very generous. Despite the long delay on the soup dumplings; my wife and I will definitely be returning.

The xia long boa was pretty good. We also tried the lamb dumplings. My son didn’t like those. He said it was too lamby.

Best Xiao Lung Bao I have had outside Taiwan. The pastry is delicately thin but robust, so it does break when you pick them up with chopsticks.
