Wow…I mean Wow. Probably the best patty melt I’ve ever had. No lie. Juicy, cheesy, grilled onion, perfect . Cooked to a medium well the beef patty is big, very juicy and flavorful. The fries are fresh and fried to perfection. Hats off to the Country Store. Doing it right.

Outstanding little place on highway 21 in Dime Box. Super clean inside, friendly folks, distanced tables, nice variety of drinks and one of the best burgers you will have. Perfectly cooked with a great crispy crust and a tender and juicy inside (this was cooked all the way through, yet juicy! Masterful). Attention to detail is always great and here the onion was shaved and spread well so you got a bit of onion in each bite, good melted cheese and a delicious bite!

If you are traveling on Highway 12, plan your trip to stop here for lunch, you can call ahead to place an order and they are generally ready in 10-15 minutes. Either way don’t miss out on the best burgers between Austin and Bryan/College Station! Bring your cooler too so you can buy some Diamond A ranch beef to take home.

One of the BEST burgers ever…what? It’s the beef! The source locally, Diamond A ranch, and this is what ground cow is supposed to taste like. When you see the sign as you’re wizzin’ through Dime Box, don’t doubt it. Make a u-turn and head in for a delicious, and we’ll priced burger!

I don’t know what I like better. The BLT or cheeseburger. Thick bacon on the blt or a 1/2 lb patty well seasoned. You can’t go wrong either way.

Five of us stopped in because we read the rave reviews about the burgers. We had 1 grilled cheese 1 brisket sandwich and 3 cheese burgers. My husband asked for his medium and was told they are all cook the same. All 3 burgers were crispy on the outside and dry on the inside. What a shame to advertise prime beef and ruin it by cooking it to crisp! We were very disappointed. One would think they would want you to have a great experience to entice us to buy some of the beef from the freezer.

Mom & I decided to stop today on our way back from Bryan. Been hearing how good the burgers where. Boy, they didn’t disappoint. We both got cheeseburgers with home style fries, more food than either of us could eat. Super nice store, clean bathrooms and very friendly, helpful service. I’m sure we’ll be stopping again.

While on a long trip across the state, we saw this place and thought we’d give it a try on our way back through. We are so glad we did! Friendly service, DELICIOUS burgers, which tasted so fresh. I had a hamburger, my boyfriend had a patty melt, we both had hand-cut fries, everything was excellent. They also sell the meat, wholesale style, at the counter.
