I’ve been going to/ordering from Ponzu for a long time. I usually order a bibimbap and scallion pancake with seafood, the photos attached. I’ve also had their sushi and doen jang chigae, both of which are good. The only dish I wouldn’t recommend is their calamari; one thing that occasionally goes wrong with their dishes is they’re too oily. In the case of their calamari, it feels like the batter isn’t thick enough to absorb the oil, or else it’s just not what I’m used to eating. The fried part is whitish instead of the typical golden, and it’s just greasy.

This is my favorite restaurant in Waltham to get sushi. I love their location as they are located on Moody Street which is often closed for driving traffic during the summer which allows you to walk the strip and have a nice dinner. They are also close to the larger public parking area which allows for easier access if you don’t want to walk far.

Honestly, the sushi and steamed dumplings were fine, but not special. We sat outside which was nice, but might have led to service being slower. The appetizers came out one at a time rather than all together, which was kind of annoying in our group of 4 – one mouthful per person with 5 minutes in between each dish. The best dish was the spring rolls. They were substantial, hot, and the perfect amount of crispy. It took a long time to get the check after our meal.

Made it here for a weeknight dinner. Pretty cute place and very sweet servers. We had sushi and the bibimbap and they were both pretty great. They had a bottle of gochujang for the table that I added to absolutely everything!!!! Settling this at 4 stars because I felt it to be slightly on the pricier side given the ambience and setting!

Went there at 3:30 on a Saturday and had a wonderful experience. Great waitstaff. Sushi (Goldfish roll and shrimp tempura roll) were both amazing. Edamame was also great. Chicken katsu and dumpling soup were both fine but not as amazing as the sushi. We plan to come back again and bring friends.

We’ve been going to Ponzu for years. Their sushi never disappoints and the owners are extremely kind. They actively began stocking GF soy sauce for my partner who can’t have wheat. Highly recommend this place.
