The price is reasonable and the portion size is good. I loved the tortilla chips they offered as a free appetizer.

Low key spot in Decatur with great chips and salsa. In general, I think their food and drinks are just ok. I’ve had much better margaritas. The house seemed watered down. I did really enjoy the grouper enchiladas. They were delicious!!

The best margs in Decatur! Get the skinny Marg, shrimp nachos over rice, side chicken quesdilla is the best i have ever had and chicken soup slaps!

If you are looking for some fresh and inexpensive classic Mexican food, then Coyote’s is the place in downtown Decatur. I generally go in the early evening during the week and it is chill, a handful of tables. Service is prompt. Staff friendly. Love the Enchiladas Supremas (just such a mainstay dish) good ‘ol beans, cheese and variety of 4 enchiladas (cheese, bean, beef, chicken) on a massive plate! There is ample outdoor seating in addition to inside.

The food was amazing but the service was very very poor. When I walked in, I was not greeted and I had to ask for seating. I watched staff take other orders, clean tables, and walk pass my table several times before even bringing water. Even the manager (who also walked past me several times) had to be flagged down for me to order.

We love Coyote’s and love sitting outside on their patio. The food is great and very reasonably priced. Love their frozen margaritas, honestly some of the best I’ve had! Love the carnitas, fajitas, and enchiladas. We have always gotten great service as well. One of our favorite spots for an early Friday night dinner

I’ve eaten quite a lot of Mexican food in my life. Some good and some bad. Some memorable and some forgettable but it’s been a while since I’ve had an eating experience that made my day significantly worse. There wasn’t a wait at Coyote’s which was nice but should have been a telling sign when we arrived at happy hour this Thursday afternoon. We were quickly seated on the patio which is nice but nothing too chat about and were served what I’m almost sure was Pace salsa with warmed chips. Our menu arrived a few minutes later. We ordered two margaritas, and two meals. After a short wait our food arrived but we soon realized what we were faced with. What was advertised as “100%” Angus beef was truly, and sadly not much more than dog food. It’s embarrassing to call what we were served Mexican food. The taste felt like the devastation that America has brought to proud and powerful Mexican cuisine but as I’m writing this review and staring at the grey remains of my meal. I cannot say anyone should ever eat at Coyote’s Mexican Grill. It’s not forgettable but you will wish it could be. The margaritas were fine.

We went on a slow Sunday. Servers were nice! Enjoyed the margaritas and salsa. I ordered the carne asada tacos, they were just ok. Overall would go back for drinks and chips/ salsa. Quite place for a summer night out.

good food but terrible terrible service. we waited 35 mins just for chips, salsa and water! tables were all dirty, no one cared to clean them. our server was not very nice at all, very lackadaisical, he didn’t write our order down then he forgot what we ordered. probably the worst service i have ever had honestly.

Horrible customer service. I’ve been multiple times and have never been greeted. The food is amazing. Perhaps that is why they’re still viable.
