Food has always been really good, but the service isn’t the greatest. I get that us Haitians can sometimes be stand-offish but service with a smile and a friendly disposition go a long way. Treat every customer whether they look Haitian or speak creole like they’re guest in your home and special. Also, the prices are a bit high now. Paid $75 bucks for three meals. Again, I’m not trying to disparage a local Haitian establishment and we truly have loved this place going back to their previous location but going above and beyond in those little things will help this place explode with business and make it a more enjoyable experience for the customer.

I called to order breakfast for my mom and the guy who picked up the phone was extremely rude. I did not feel yelling over the phone was warranted. The guy was extremely frustrated, impatient and seemed over worked. I don’t think it’s nice to be treated like trash when I am spending my hard earned money supporting an establishment. The food is decent but customer service is key and Sunrise Cuisine needs training in handling customers.

Every time I call to place an order, then I arrive to pick it up they tell me that they gave it to someone else. They don’t ask for your name when you place an order so if someone else places the same order they just give it away. And sometimes they’ll run out of whatever I ordered so I end up leaving empty handed. They don’t even apologize. It’s very frustrating & unfair. The food is decent but the customer service sucks. I take good customer service very seriously & they seriously lack this. Not to mention I’ve been a customer of theirs for years & it never changes.

The food is really good really it’s my main preference for Haitian food but it’s really hard ordering from them through GrubHub. For some reason they don’t have the option to order extra sauce and I always want extra sauce with my plate of food. I put specific details such as whether I want rice & beans or white rice and most of the time it’s ignored and they just put rice and beans, even if I request white rice. I don’t know why they don’t just update their item selections on GrubHub to fix that problem. Because there’s a lot of other items that are confusing especially with the pictures shown.

When i first started going here a few years ago everything was always good and on point. Now when i go in, there it’s always something wrong. My last visit i was over charged and i ordered black bean sauce was charged for it and never got it. I called them within 5 mins of leaving when i didn’t see my sauce and she wanted to argue and hung up the phone. Now, My trip today makes me not want to go back. My food was cold. My favorite part of the meal the black bean sauce…….WAS BURNT! You could taste the pan. And the chicken was undercooked. But for everything you get its a great price i just wish it was still worth it.

Honestly the food and fruit smoothies are amazing here but the service is terrible. Just beyond TERRIBLE. The staff is very very rude, they wait on you with a poor attitude and the wait time is ridiculous. They brought our food out and 5 minutes later brought us our drinks as if we weren’t choking on our food yet. I was with my 2 little nephews and our waitress was just not accommodating at all. She overall had a really annoyed presence.This place has a lot of potential to be successful but please train your staff with the proper customer service skills that they will need to be able to thrive the business.
