So glad this place is finally opened. Love the Malibu location, and this one didn’t disappoint. Food is amazing, staff is super friendly, and you can’t beat the views.

So disappointed. Was looking forward to supporting this new restaurant. The atmosphere was so stark and sterile. The sound level in the restaurant was awful—-there is nothing soft to absorb any sound which just made for a terrible din. Had to order at a counter and then pick my food up and transport it to my table. And the food was blah! My shrimp roll tasted as if it came from a frozen bad of mini bay shrimp which were dusted with a tiny bit of spice. The bread, however, was good. Was not even worth eating the entire thing. The chowder was just OK. My husband’s shrimp tacos were good, but we could have gotten those elsewhere for half the price. The best thing was the view….I could have gotten take out and sat on the beach and saved some $.

Overpriced. I had the lobster roll. Lobster was delicious. Bun was dry. For $25 you could add a small amount of coleslaw without charging a side. My husband had fish and chips he said it was average. We were expecting more. We won’t be back

Scenic spot at end of pier (formerly Ruby’s). They make great use of the view and have comfortable seating, but pricing seemed excessive for decent but uninspired food with counter service. Lobster roll had large chunks of crab meat on buttery roll. Fine if that’s all you want, but we felt Disneyland’s $14 version was better than this $27 version because Disney adds some flavor and texture complexity to the lobster mix while this one was just lobster, butter, and roll. Disappointed in the calamari steak. This is basically an upsized version of the standard heavily breaded, thin, rubbery calamari served with marinara as an appetizer. We were hoping for the more tender, thicker, lightly breaded version you find at some nice seafood restaurants. Cole slaw was very basic and a disappointment at $5.

The restaurant has a 1st floor and it’s quieter than downstairs. Above and below you have great views of the Pacific, Catalina Island and Long Beach. The food was freshly prepared and was delicious. The servers were all nice, only the premises are not 5 stars.
