What has happened to the steak sandwich? Used to be hands down the best sandwich in town. Over the years the patty shape changed but was still a great steak sandwich. Ordered my husband and myself steak sandwiches with hot pepper cheese pickles and onions. I love the ice house but this was the worst sandwich I’ve attempted to eat, ever. It was extremely overcooked, very dry and very small. I would gladly pay more for a better quality sandwich..please consider going back to the old style steak sandwich. I would pay double for the old version

Sat at a table for 15 minutes with two people behind the bar and no one served us or even acknowledged us. Brought a new person with me only to be rejected by the staff. Can’t believe what just happened! I’ll find someplace that will be willing to serve us. My friend said is this how New Castle treats patrons!

Fond memories of The Tank and The Ice House. Finally visited the Ice House following my father’s. He was a regular there in the 1960s and 70s. Great dive bar. NFS.
