We were so hoping that Barney’s could get back to the Barney’s of old … which was a first class experience all the way around. Unfortunately, despite good service, the food was inconsistent. The duck was quite good, but crab cakes were overly-breaded and the fettuccini with shrimp was served in an insipid broth – not good at all.

Went here for a special birthday dinner. Called prior to going to be sure they could accommodate a wheelchair. We were advised there was a ramp. When we arrived there was no ramp but two of the wait staff graciously lifted the person in the chair up the 3 steps-but when we left we were on our own. When we arrived it was quiet but within 30 minutes it was incredibly noisy -you could not hear the other person at your table. One person in the party ordered a prime rib special…it arrived looking like a charred steak. Never saw prime rib served this way. It was sent back and the owner/manager never even came to the table to apologize. The duck dishes were very bland, no taste of raspberry sauce as they said it would have. The waitress was very nice and tried her best but was overwhelmed…took forever to get drinks and other patrons were frustrated with the service as well. Instead of the owner helping out his staff, he was too busy socializing with the regular patrons he knew. The food quality was fair and service lacking. Both food and service should be much better when paying these prices. There are a lot of great restaurants to choose from and unfortunately Barneys is NO longer one of them.

Can’t beat the ambiance in the cozy fireplace room. The food is always solid and they added some delicious specialty cocktails. I Highly recommend Barneys to anyone looking for a unique, quiet dining experience.

Love coming to Barney’s. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and the chef is always able to accommodate me. The meat is always cooked perfectly. Sitting by the fireplace is super cozy but the entire layout feels like dining at home with the best chefs and staff taking care of you.
