Ginellis Pizza was a bit hard to find at first as it’s tucked in the sky way, but unmissable once you see it. The people who work there are wonderful and kind and very good at their jobs. The pizza slices are large and the sauce and cheese have a good distinct flavor. The food was hot and very fresh. Being inside of Ginellis feels like time traveling back in time, it feels like a place my dad would take me. The tables are a bit crowded together, so it was a bit hard to maneuver. The dining area and kitchen both looked very clean. I will definitely be going back.

Walked in for a slice and the soda this afternoon on lunch break. I was greeted by Kevin behind the counter. He was very friendly and served me very quickly. I got a giant slice of pizza and a Cherry Coke for about five bucks. Not bad compared to the rest of the restaurants in the skyway downtown Minneapolis. Plenty of seating space for everyone. They also have crushed red pepper and grated Parmesan cheese packets. Good food fast I highly recommend. Oh and they have a customer loyalty card 9 punches and on the tenth punch you get a free slice!!!!

I have not heard of this place recently, at least that I recall? Well anyway, it is always a surprise having some food when you get home, whether you get it earlier in the day, or somebody surprised you with it doesn’t really matter. When I first saw the slice, to my surprise was not only how big it was, but how good it looked. Of course when it was warmed up I really liked it really looked eye popping, so much it just enticed me to eat it the more. Yet, I only had to devour it in yet, a few minutes, because it was so good. I really enjoyed how not only how the ingredients looked bigger than most slices I’ve had, but how the fresh everything tasted. So much so, that I can’t wait to dine-in for definitely a few slices next time.

Best Skyway Pizza. Classic NY-Style pizza parlour with HUGE slices and a good variety of food. Staff here is very gregarious and welcoming. Plus, free breadsticks on Monday! (Who couldn’t use some free breadsticks on a Monday?) Original Coca-Cola displays and cozy vibes give Ginelli’s that original New York pizza shop feeling, with all the love of Minnesota Nice. Definitely worth checking it out!
