While touring Charlotte we stumbled upon this place “Optimist Hall” we were not aware that this was a huge food court with different establishments. We thought we were going to a burger joint due to the photos we saw. The burgers looked delicious, so we had to try it. Although there were several other options, my daughter still settled on this place. She went for the “Royal Burger” it came with lettuce, tomato, bacon & pickles. My daughter wanted onions and that was an extra ¢.50…mind you, I did not know the cost of the Royal as price was not posted. You would’ve thought onions would’ve been included or no extra charge at that for a $13.95 burger with NO CHEESE! Yes, the burger is freshly made, however, for that much you would think it would have a little more. My daughter did enjoy the burger and thought it was flavorful. I, on the other hand did not think the same; it was mediocre.

This was my first time in Optimist Hall. Jay made ordering very easy. He was very knowledgeable of the food items. The burgers were surprisingly big to be smash burgers. Will definitely be back.

The hype about Harriet’s is well deserved. Yes it’s Bangola Supreme. Strong-arming the burger game with their delicious double patties. The simplicity of the menu, the ingredients, the decor are all modern foodie fresh. The natural sodas were the bomb and the service was prompt and friendly. I can’t complain about this slammin’ burger spot that I’ll be back to very soon. I’d like to see some more fixins for these outstanding burgers but I’ll take em how they serve them for now as they are the juiciest I’ve had in a while. Enjoy this is certified Awesome Eats spot.

Harriet’s has won over my heart with some of the best hamburgers I have had since moving to North Carolina. They are extremely affordable for the quality and portion of food and the time between ordering and receiving your food is extremely short.

Simple menu: Burger, Burger with cheese, fries, “pop”, water. The burger was delicious, fries were crispy and hot. It only took about 4 minutes and the line was long. The presentation was clean (paper bag folded and stapled, perfectly folded burger wrapper) and the staff was quick and courteous. They also have merch for sale if you REALLY like their burgers.

Just to update: the customer service here is FANTASTIC, like some of the best I’ve ever encountered. My friends and I came here last night and we were treated so kindly by Jay and team. They were so helpful, welcoming, and made little jokes with us. We walked away going, “wow, those are the friendliest people we’ve met in a long time”. If Harriet’s management sees this, kudos to Jay and team for providing EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Your burgers sold me and your people will keep us coming back!

I read the current reviews of Harriet’s Hamburgers so I thought I’d try one. My opinion – not worth the money. I’ve had burgers all over the U.S. and I would rate these close to the bottom. I asked for ‘no special sauce’ and still got it. The fries were not that good. And their homemade soda/pop was very sub par. The service was friendly and the place seemed clean – hence the 3-star rating – but I would never recommend these burgers to anyone.
