The Hive is a small coffee shop and cafe in historic Honomū town on the way to Akaka Falls.
We serve a variety of espresso drinks, cold brew, Tropical Sodas and Teas, as well as locally sourced food items like Avocado toasts and lunch wraps! We strive for Organic and Local as much as possible!

Oh man did I love this place. Not only is the food some of the freshest and best you’ll have on the island, Elizabeth was so lovely and welcoming we came back for breakfast every day. If you are anywhere near Honomu and want delicious food and a cute atmosphere, definitely don’t pass this place up. Elizabeth was so kind and friendly, her avocado toast with bacon and goat cheese added was drool-worthy, and the ginger macadamia nut scones were some of the best scones I’ve ever had. Not to mention the delicious strong coffee and cute merch in the store. I just can’t say enough good about this place. 10/10 for sure recommend.

Such a cute cafe with really good vibes. it’s a small business run by a gal who works there herself and grows a lot of the food in a garden out back! She uses mostly local and organic ingredients! The Deluxe Avo toast was the best avo toast I have ever had. it was so fresh and bursting with flavors. The edible flowers were a great touch and also really tasty! Also the Vanilla Iced Matcha with house made local macadamia nut milk was AMAZING!

Such amazing farm fresh local food!! Gorgeous. Some of the best food pics you’ll take on the whole island. We had the Deluxe avocado toast, with local goat cheese and farm eggs, ulu sourdough, and covered in fresh flowers.

Wonderful and delicious cafe, beautiful presentation, exceptionally friendly and kind staff, oh, and bread/drinks/meals are da kine! Try the Mystic lemonade and Vegan Avocado Toast. Mostly vegan and vegetarian options w some chicken for the carnivores.

Such a beautiful and tremendously delicious café with special coffee variations and awesome healthy food. I had a White Chocolate Lavender Latte which had a good coffee taste and just fine notes of chocolate and lavender. I can also recommend the Sourdough Sandwich with Mac Nut Pesto and Avo. I can highly recommend this place which just opened in January this year.
