Definitely lives up to the hype! I have been following them on Instagram for a while but hadn’t tried it. I went with the Goku pineapple bowl and it was better than I imagined! The meats are so good and the grilled pineapple perfectly pairs with the beans and rice! My boyfriend got the shrimp and grits and they were so good too. The sauce was just spicy and so good with the cheesy grits.

My cousin and I stopped in yesterday. And when I say Them Vegan Crumbles had my spirit so Elevated!!!!!! The young lady talkin about…. may I suggest you get the zucchini for added flavor? It was my first time there, so I got a couple things. The chicken tacos were great, and it was a good portion of food for the price. I also got the lamb chops. I felt like they were a little expensive, but they were also hilariously delicious. I don’t know what that sauce is, but I want to bathe in it.

Tried 3 of the vegan tacos and the zucchini with pineapple was my favorite. I really liked the jerk sauce on top. I had no cranberry red beans in mine and am unsure if they have meat in them and that’s why they were missing…bummer as I was looking forward to those.Rice is plain, could use some seasoning. Cilantro and tomatoes were fresh. No real signage outside, bright blue building. Inside has great anime drawings on walls.

Been following and hearing good things about Chef Hiro for years. Finally got to the new spot on parsons, but was unfortunately highly disappointed. Started with the packaging of the food. We got two of the shrimp, “lump crab”, and grits specials. The amount of food was huge.. but it was too much for the flimsy styrofoam containers they put it in. The girl at the counter was very polite, but when she bagged our meals I wish she would have realized the problem. The meal on the bottom started leaking in to the single bag immediately. It was crushed. By the time we got to the car half the sauce from it was in the bag. As for the food.. it was just ok. The grits were a perfect consistency, but bland. No flavor. I kept having to add salt and pepper in between bites. My wife on the other hand had to scoop the sauce out of the bag for hers. (I tried to get her to give me the bottom one lol). The shrimp tasted good but were nothing special. I didn’t taste, see, or feel any crab meat. There was a slight crab favor to the sauce. Guessing it was from a can. This was a very disappointing long awaited first impression. We will be back to try some of the other specials/menu items.. but one more disappointment would be it without better service and flavor.

Quickly became one of my favorite places. The food is amazing. Chef always has a few surprises every month. Keeps you eager and looking forward to your next visit. Even if you’re staying with your go to meal your never disappointed. The staff is engaging and pleasant. Quick smiles and willingness to share a laugh with you without being condescending is such a rare thing nowadays. They food suggestions and are knowledgeable about the menu. Great place I laughed, I ate and I continue to come back.
