During my recent visit to Jersey Mike’s Subs on State Street, I opted for takeout during the bustling graduation weekend at UW-Madison. I chose the #13 The Original Italian and personalized my sub, by adding mayo, banana peppers, and pickles. I was pleased to find that upon my arrival, my order was promptly prepared and ready for me, despite the busyness of downtown Madison and the Jersey Mike’s location.

Told we couldn’t order without using the kiosk, and the workers were just standing there talking. 3 other customers were standing waiting for pickups, and the orders were ready, but no one told them that. No interaction from employees with anyone. Employee made the sandwich slower than I’ve ever seen in my entire adult life.

Came in a couple minutes before closing, accidentally. Ordered a sub from the screen unaware that the restaurant had cleaned and were in the process of closing. Employees were super nice and made me the food even though they didn’t have to. (I Suggested a refund) Food was tasty too! Will come back

Came in, said hello, and the 2 employees working wouldn’t even respond.. they just looked at me. Maybe that’s because you have to order using the kiosk, but I expected some sort of reaction or engagement from the humans working in the store. The third employee was a little better. Food was good.

Only 2 workers so maybe it’s on management and they are just exhausted without enough help but I have never seen someone make sandwiches so slow in my life. Had 3 sandwiches for eat st and they were not ready until 20 minutes after the ready by time. She was only working on my order that whole time. 20 minutes to make 3 sandwiches none of them hot.

Came in and ordered at the kiosk and waited well over 30 minutes while the employees were extremely rude and had zero sense of urgency. I wish I could be refunded for my tip on the order because they did not deserve it.

The Veggie is massively overpriced. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s twice as expensive as Subway’s and has fewer ingredients. $20 for a sandwich (a Giant) that contains nothing but shredded lettuce, tomatoes and cheese is nonsensical.
