Casey’s at 36th and Irvinedale Dr. is pretty much our go to convenience store. On this occasion, we ordered a medium Taco Pizza online, and were told it would be done in 20 min. (note… On busy weekends during FB season, we’ve waited 45 min, so plan accordingly.) I got there a few minutes early and the lady said my pizza would be out of the oven in a cpl minutes. While I was waiting, I took note of the coffee station, as I often stop at this very same place for morning coffee. The place was SPOTLESS as usual (pics). Now for the pizza. We’re usually deep dish pizza people, but for Taco Pizza, Casey’s nails it with a thinner doughy crust. We love it. Hope too that management reads this and takes note that a customer appreciated the cleanliness of the store!

Undercooked Pizza. I specifically asked to make sure it was well done and it wasn’t so they made a second and delivered it and it’s worse than the first. So heavy with partially raw toppings and undercooked dough that everything literally slid right off… 3 pictures are after I finished cooking it in a household toaster oven for 5 minutes. Done. Crispy. Brown. Holds up the toppings…

A cashier named Leo was the worst service i’ve ever had at this location and i’m here three times a week. He wouldn’t talk to anybody in the line and gave me my cash back in a crumpled. Some customer service training is clearly needed.

Don’t order pizza from here. Ordered online and they said they didn’t get it (saw it on screen). No big deal, ordered again in store. They said 20 minutes. Come back inside 20 minutes later and they forgot all about it.

We love coming here, however, the last time I was in…. an employee did not have her mask on. I did talk to the manager and she said she would make sure this kind of thing would not happen again and that I could do curbside next time. I was getting a gift card and a book for car washes so I wasn’t sure if this kind of thing could be done curbside. I am immune compromised and high risk. The manager said she would make sure to work with me if I needed anything curbside. I appreciate her professionalism.

Pizza delivery staff needs to get it together! I placed an order at 6:40. I called to check on the status of the order at 7:45, and they said the pizza must be on the way. Called again at 8:10, and this time they say they can’t deliver to my address! They also didn’t offer to make it right after making my family wait for an hour and a half before telling me they never made the pizza I ordered because they can’t deliver to my house. Anyone with any decency would have checked to verify if the pizza was made, and then called right away to tell me they aren’t coming so I could find another option and feed my kids. Any decent business will also make it up to a person when their mistakes cost people time and impacts their plans. I ended up getting Fongs instead of watching the movie with my kids tonight. Next time I will go to Fongs in the first place and spare myself the headache!

Not sure what was going on, but I couldn’t get the pump to work to pump gas. Now, I’ve been doing this for 45 years, it’s not brain surgery but was not working. Cancelled the transaction and went elsewhere. Generally I like Casey’s and this one event doesn’t change my opinion.
