Whenwearrived,therestaurantwasalittlecrowded.Theatmosphereisveryinviting,andthestaffisextremelyfriendly.Wewereseatedimmediatelyandquicklyplacedandreceivedourorder.But,withtheexceptionofthesteak,whichwasquitegood,thefoodwasflavorless.Unfortunately,saltcouldnotrevivethemeal.Ifthepurposeofgoingtorestaurantswasbased solely on good service, this would be theplace.Unfortunately I want good, flavorful food even more than exceptional service!

Decent food, average at best service, and the restaurant looks like it’s under construction, or they may be tearing down to move. The price of the meals were very good. I like how they bring salsa in a small carafe. The chalupa was on pita bread, which I’ve never seen before.

I have been eating here for 5 years. Food is good. English is terrible. They will act like they understand you and then get mad when you have a disagreement. Further more they will have a bunch of kitchen staff surround you when you come in to rectify the issue. It’s nuts and we are faithful customers. I shook the man’s hand and apologized, apparently they would like to retain pride instead of business.

We absolutely love this place. We have gone once a week for the better part of a year. The services is amazing and the food is just as good! The staff are great and remember us every time we come in. This is the only Mexican restaurant we will eat at!

The 3 1/2 % surcharge on the ticket for using a credit card blew me away as it was listed like a menu item (didn’t notice it there), not down the ticket with taxes and tip. The food is good, but not great and add-ons and portions on add-ons are skimpy at best. Good top shelf margarita but at $40 a pitcher with 70% ice, they should be amazing. Our server was very good, Probably not coming back for awhile as there are better options closer to home.

For a neighborhood eatery, El Agave offers a very good dining experience. The food is quite flavorful, it’s fast, the decor is festive and comfortable, and it’s very reasonably priced. You can actually afford to take the family to a good meal without breaking the bank. Well done!
