At our Lenoir City, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Nice staff BUT the food has declined severely. Fish was smaller than my plastic fork. Mac&Cheese had 8 macaroni swimming in a bowl of cheese sauce. Hish puppies have remained the same thank goodness!

Apparently nobody can read a ticket and make sure it order is correct after driving 5 mi home I open my dinner and this is what I find doesn’t match the ticket.! Not to mention I waited approximately 5 to 8 minutes at the drive-thru window for them to even prepare my food.!

Drive thru service was horrible. Please put a smile on your face especially if your unable to put forks and napkins in the bag and act as if it’s a problem to request any sauces which ketchup was still left out. Thankfully, the food was good. Hot and fresh. Service however, wouldn’t be on my payroll.

Food was great,drive through was a long 8 minutes for fried fish Guess they’re cooking to order at 5:30 pm with only 1 car ahead of me for 2 of those minutes. Food was super fresh and very hot! Had to ask for sauces, then had to ask for napkins and utensils. Geeze.

I ordered three piece dinners. The girl rang up 2 piece dinners. Asked for veteran discount. She said could only have discount on one meal. The fish was overcooked and breading was different than usual. The fish was tasteless. The hushpuppies were not crunchy but were tough. Overall the meal was not good.

A little after 9, 1st mistake..we walked in. Hey look, advertisement pictures for Cajun dinner, with shrimp, hushpuppies, fish, broccoli, a literal mountain of food. I ordered a meal, and my wife said yes, I’ll have the same. How about an order of lobster bisque….no sorry…we are out. We have gumbo. Okay. Drinks? Yes please. 17.98 gets you a few fries, 2 mostly cooked cornmeal balls. Some over cooked frozen shrimp. One piece, maybe an ounce sliver of fish. Oh and a full cup of rice with what may have been a small tablespoon of a soup liquid in the bottom of the rice. I could not identify if there was a piece of shrimp in the rice or an onion. Oh, and only one dinner, not two. No broccoli..as it was not ordered. I wish I had taken pictures, we were so hungry. We had just finished decorating at church for Bible school. If there has ever been a worse case of a pictured dinner which did not make it to the table I do not recall it. Thank heaven for Buddy’s BBQ just down the road. We had dinner there and delicious hot fudge cake, and a senior discount. We were thanked and invited back. I assure you Buddy’s will retain our business. Cap’n Ds, bless your heart.

Staff seemed disgruntled. Food was not cooked as well as other locations I have visited. Ex. the batter dipped fish was not crispy outside. Floor was greasy and slick. The interior of the store was dark and sad.

Well, the Ac was good. Staff seemed overwhelmed and really did not see, but 3ppl working reason most likely for no smiles passion friendly no upselling and 50% of tables were dirty our food was hot and exactly what we ordered food was good except for the fries but did not ask for new saw they were not in best of mood.
