We drove into Rocky Mountain National Park and the nightmare happened: We had locked ourselves out of our car just before sunset. It became freezing cold and we sought shelter in the tavern. We were greeted with the finest rock music and a very friendly waiter who made us hot chocolate. The atmosphere and the view were so great that I would love to be stuck there again!

Breakfast was super slow and menu is limited. NO PANCAKES ON MENU. One of my choices wasn’t available, I had to go with the omlett which was small. The french toast was soggy and under cooked. We constantly had to ask for refills on our coffee, if we ever saw the server. The atmosphere here is very nice, definitely the only thing I liked about my experience.

Absolutely terrible food. Ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were stale and hard as a rock. The potatoes were undercooked with no seasoning. The cinnamon roll had no taste, no icing, and was like rubber from someone microwaving it. I’ve had some bad food but this was some of the worst. Eating fast food would’ve been much better.

This should be a very nice restaurant – nice location, views, menus, etc. You’ll be spending anywhere from $20-50 per person but we were shocked that they only provide plastic “silverware” and a tiny napkin all wrapped in plasticwrap ala cheap fast food style. And it’s very loud, exacerbated by a load vocal singing group. Won’t go there again.

Hard to tell which was worse. The food or the service.

Ray was our bartender/server/surrogate mom for the evening, and she made our night an 11/10. The food was great, the drinks were exceptional, and Ray’s thoughtfulness and sincerity made my husband’s 40th birthday. I can’t speak highly enough about her!

Absolutely terrible it’s Norman Rockwell meets Debbie Does Dallas, and that was on a Sunday afternoon. Keep your kids out of the restaurant. The locals treat it like their own personal strip joint.

Sat down and waited over 20 minutes to be helped. No one would help us. The one person working said he was busy. So don’t waste your time going here. Plenty of other places that want your business.

The food was gourmet style. Breakfast was tasty. We were so glad to have a hearty and fresh breakfast during PANDEMIA. They were remodeling to add outdoor space. Nice rustic setting. We met the owner and we made friends with a marmot
