Best Sezchuan chinese I’ve had a very long time. The bowzi are the best in town. The Soup dumplings are amazing. The mapo tofu, the rices dishes, havent had a bad bite so far. I eat at this place twice a week at least, staff is friendly, a true mom and pop type place too. A+++

Finally! An amazing Chinese restaurant has arrived in East Portland. Hazelwood to be exact. Check out Remember Restaurant at 12429 NE Glisan in the Menlo Park Plaza. I had no idea this place moved in. Apparently the owners bought out the old Cleary’s bar and restaurant (Clearly’s is still there, don’t worry!). This is LEGIT Chinese food with handmade noodles and all. Everything from scratch. Not your “American Chinese” type joint with all the deep fried sauce laden stuff that most of this neighborhood has. This reminds me of something in New York or San Francisco. Give these guys some business, they deserve it!

This is the first time I’ve ever felt moved to review a restaurant on Google. By far, my favorite dumpling in Portland. Staff is so kind and lovely, space is nice. FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Recommend the scallion pancake, pork and sauerkraut bao zi, and honestly everything else is dank too.

I took my kids and partner to dinner here because we received a coupon in the mail. Excellent service and a very clean nice dining experience. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The special beef fried rice and soup dumplings were especially good. We will definitely be back!

There are no burgers, no fries, no milkshakes etc…… it’s all Chinese food. We ordered chicken fried rice. The menu didn’t indicate it was spicy like it did with other dishes but when we got it home it was so spicy we couldn’t eat it. We also got the beef dumplings. They were more like wontons with an unrecognizable blob of something in the center that tasted what I imagine wet dog food would taste like.

We shared family style for two, beef scallions pancakes, pork sauerkraut bao, beef bao, and pork dumplings. All the food was excellent! Perfect portions to share, we are full and had 2 bao to take home.

This review is for the Remember Chinese Restaurant, not Cleary’s bar: the food is excellent. We had mapo tofu buns, a scallion and egg pancake and a sesame noodle dish that were all delicious. Interesting, quality Chinese food served, not the standard dishes found at most Americanized Chinese restaurants. Friendly staff. We will be back. Highly recommended!
