Stopped in for a quick meal before a ball game and wanted to stay for longer than we could! Music, decor, food, service, and everything was a fun experience! Now I know what 14-16 hour smoked brisket and 4 hour smoked ribs should taste like! Highly recommend!

Beef brisket was juicy and full of flavors. I can smell a little cumin on the brisket. It came with sweet or spicy barbecue sauce. I love the sweet barbecue sauce after tasted both sauces. However, I ate without adding any sauces because I like to taste the original rub on it. My husband ordered rib. He loved the favors of the spicy sauce on the ribs. He wish to have them smoke a little longer to fall off the bone. The side dishes were average. Otherwise, I will give 5 stars.

One of my all-time favorite stops, especially during the summer months. Top-notch food and service and with an atmosphere of a classic BBQ restaurant. I’ve recommended Pappies to hundreds. I love supporting mom and pop places like this, because you’re guaranteed a great meal that has smoky flavor. My favorite meal is a double portion of the BBQ Chicken with a side order of slaw and baked beans! And the amount you get, you’ll not walk away hungry! I’ll definitely keep coming back for more BBQ. As a food reviewer, I’ve tasted many different kinds of BBQ and this smoky style ranks up there with the best! Decided to stop here on a whim and boy am I glad I did. Brisket, pork, and chicken were all great. Brisket was tender and juicy with great flavor. The mac and cheese was some of the best that I’ve had in a long time and the sauce suck to the noodles and tasted great. The peanut butter pie was also a great end to the meal. Service was quick and friendly. It’ll definitely be on my list of regular stops when I’m in the area. Also, the prices are surprisingly low for the quality and portions you get.

The food was amazing! My fiance and I each got a two meat plate with different sides so that we could share. Everything was fantastic. We had three different people come to make sure we were taken care of, they were super nice and not intrusive at all. The jalapeño Mac n cheese was perfect!

Fantastic smoked meats! Flavor is full and rich! Ate inside and enjoyed the clean and friendly atmosphere. Waitstaff was prompt and food portions are generous. This is a place that if your in the area is a “don’t miss it” kind of thing !

As a lover of prime rib I had to go for their prime rib special. Ordered medium rare as it should be and the cook even came out to make sure. What I got was medium in some places and well done in others. My sides were cold and I had to wait for a refill of my drink, only to get half refill of an already small cup. Never again.

Brisket was some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve traveled all across the US eating at different bbq locations and this is by far in the top 3 places I’ve ever tried. Great quality food. Also Grandma Linda’s pie was delicious. I’ll definitely order again next time I come through.
