I have heard a lot about the crab cakes over the years from a few people. Today I had time to kill, was hungry and in the area so I thought I would give them a try. When I tell you they didn’t disappoint me I assure you it is an understatement. The crab cakes were moist, not bready and packed full of flavor. I give then a 8.7 out of 10. Yummy.

Chuck’s is always a safe bet for us. Went for a birthday dinner, and we enjoyed it all. The only issue we had was that our calamari was somewhat greasy. Not sure if they did not drain it properly or if the cooking oil was old, but it still tasted fine. Will definitely go back.

Came here to celebrate my birthday dinner. The restaurant is nice and the ambience was cute, romantic with dim lighting. There is a cold draft so bring a sweater. For a Tuesday night this place was crowded so be sure to make reservations.

Downtown restaurants have reason to be jealous. East Birmingham on Hwy 280 has a home run restaurant. Chuck’s is one of my favorite places in Birmingham and they just get better every time I go back. Check out the photos below. The food is absolutely incredible. The flavor combinations are perfect. Don’t pass on this place.
