We ordered the Chicken Bento Deluxe Box, Stone Pot Bibimbap and 1 Spicy Tuna Roll. That the chicken was marinated made all the difference for the overly sweet teriyaki. The Tempura batter was heavy and there were giant slabs of potato, sweet potato, starchy squash and shrimp. Unfortunately this was the most flavorless Bibimbap I have tasted, all the veggies were steamed, not enough caramelization on the rice and the gojuchang chili ketchup sauce didn’t help. We enjoyed the spicy tuna roll.

I hadn’t been to Little Tokyo for over 10 years but couldn’t recall why I always chose other sushi spots in town. Now I remember. It is mostly the very poor quality sushi. Unfortunately, my orange blossom roll was quite small, seriously lacking in fish and the rice was slightly underdone. The other disappointing thing is the ambiance. The location is amazing, they are in Barkley Village which is an upscale shopping center and across from a very nice water fountain and gazebo. They could really capitalize on their location by creating an equally inviting space but instead you will find very sticky tables that need to be sanded down and resealed, storage only partially hidden with screens and tacky metal cups for water. If the owners were to put a little money into upgrading the space, revamping/perfecting the execution of their food and adding an extensive sake menu they could be packed all hours.

Pictured with my review was a 16 dollar order of chicken teriyaki. The spice sauce was an extra buck. It was a single layer of protein over rice. It was good, but it was maybe a third of the portion of chicken teriyaki compared to other places, and more expensive too.

Terrible experience! We ordered two noodle Udon soup! It was few pieces of meat, few pieces of green onion ton of noodle and water. I objected, the owner said I ordered and must pay; otherwise he will call the police!!! We did not touch the food and I refused to pay and they finally gave up and did not charge us.

Sushi was old with an appearance of discoloration on the outer edge having a taste of freezer burn. Appeared previously fozen no doubt. We are avid with our knowledge of raw fish with experiences worldwide. We will not eat there again. And, surely expect some reposnse that refute our experience as I’ve seen several previously. Agree, go across the street for much improved fish quality and significantly better portions, was disappointed a $17 roll was mostly rice…very little fish, however left much of what was ordered on the table and declined a to go box.

Eating here was spectacular; their Chicken and Sushi dishes were really tasty. Plus the presentation of the dish were so eye-catching that it would make anyone salivate on sight. I would also like to mention that the prices for each dish here were reasonable for the size.

This place looks anazing and has some nice places near by ti walk around after. Food was a bit expensive for what it was but to be fair it was pretty good. We waiting for a while to be served and at the time there were only 3 other tablea seated so it seemed a bit unnecessary for the wait.

I loved this place and the in restaurant food good but the take out is rather gross the people were lovely but as long as you go into the restaurant to sit there and eat it’s good, just don’t get the take out!!!!!!

Came here for lunch and got the beef bulgogi bowl and salmon bento box. Our server was very kind and checked in with us often. Food was delicious.
