Wow. Our family stopped on a trip to the beach and it was a very good decision. We are from California and have pretty high taqueria standards, and I think this is one of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve ever had. Large menu. Everything was super fresh. The entire place was clean and well taken care of – even the bathroom. Really great place. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

We are on our way to Carolina Beach and had a taste of Mexican food. Took an 8 minutes drive from the highway exit. Food are fresh from the scratch. I ordered shrimp and rice. Super tasty! The restaurant is clean and toilet also clean! Definitely the best decision ever than having some fast food on the road. Price also decent!

Best authentic Mexican- Honduran restaurant in the AREA. In a small town saturated with Mexican restaurants is nice to have something different. The restaurant is locally and family owned, and everything in the menu is fresh-made on the spot and never frozen. They have a great selection of cocktails, beers and the music is also great. They have two sections, one with a full bar with modern music where you can unwind after a long day at work and the other one is more family oriented. The owners and employees treat each other like family and that is reflected in the customer service they provide to all customers.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican and Central American food in Wallace or Duplin County this is the spot! Great food that is prepared to the highest standard. Don’t expect to get filled up on chips and salsa, Taqueria la Jarochita instead focuses on prepared dishes that are true to Mexican/Central American cuisines. The staff are great and some of the friendliest and personable people I have met. You can tell they take their family owned business seriously and it is their true passion. A must try!
