Really cute atmosphere of a hole in the wall type of restaurant but with some solid and good Cuban food and sides. I had the Cubano which was just a Cuban sandwich but ingredients were fresh and solid. I enjoyed my experience there. Would definitely be coming back

100/10. Every single time I’ve been here it’s like a trip to my childhood, back to my grandmas house. The food is so flavorful in all the right ways, it’s not the typical comercial flavor or dishes, these taste homemade and made with love, it’s a warm hug to my heart. And the people are so nice and welcoming, will be returning there forever until the end of times

Absolutely delicious. Forgive me for not knowing the names…we were quickly sat after being greeted by super friendly staff. Water and bread was our first taste of the freshness of this wonderful restaurant. I chose the “fried rice” with ham, shrimp and other deliciousness. Yummmmm. The slow roasted pork was just as amazing. Highly recommend these dishes. I have enough for two meals too! Fantastic find!

It’s way overpriced. We went there yesterday and had the pork, yucca, and black beans. The pork wasn’t traditional Cuban and I thought was all crunchy, dried-out, and burnt but they gave us a large portion. The yucca mojo was very garlicky and they give you a large portion of that too. It’s so saucy it has to be eaten with a spoon. It was good and I liked the consistency. The beans were tasty and needed no other seasoning. The tostones were served hot and they actually tasted better when they cooled down. They were having a special on oxtail that day and I think we should have tried that instead of the pork. The waitress was super nice and very attentive. She really added to the experience with her knowledge of the history of the restaurant. I had a Guanabana shake that was good for $5. Not too sweet. It was ok for one visit but I don’t think we’ll go there because of the high prices. Although the food wasn’t spicy except for the garlic, I got really bad acid reflux later that night. I didn’t eat anything else that day except a chocolate cupcake that was very rich, so it could have been from that. I’m not going to eat the leftovers though just to be safe.

The best Cuban food I have had in Los Angeles. I was raised in San Diego, so Cuban food is a bit newer to me than other cuisines, like Mexican, or seafood, but over the last decade or so, I have really grown to love it. It’s really small and quaint on the inside and admittedly parking can be a pain considering the parking lot in front is always filled with cars, but it’s worth the journey. We parked in the neighborhood behind the restaurant although you can find street parking depending on the time you go. Our server was really polite and they have a ton of authentic and delicious items on the menu.

The food is wonderful, especially the special fried rice. I have been coming here since the 80s but they have changed their ordering system, which does not work well for me. They need to rethink it and make it more accessible especially if someone hast to drive far to go pick food up.

I had the ox tail (Rabo encendido). It’s a special (probably a weekend only entree) that isn’t normally on the menu, I can only assume it’s too popular because of the demand.
