Such a fabulous surprise! Highly recommend!! Place doesn’t look like it, but the food is terrific! No one outside of NYC makes my favorite sandwich. They did it here- not exactly on the menu, but they made it!! And it was the most perfectly prepared eggplant cutlets EVER on a caprese sandwich on house made bread. If you like eggplant, you have to come here. Great fries. Icing on the cake? Perfect risotto balls for an appetizer. Also house made NY cheesecake. Hate that I do not live in Raleigh but I will drive the 2 hours for this meal again. Like eating Italian in NY. I’d love to try the pastas because they look so good, but I found my sandwich.

Don’t let the location/ whatnot/ hole in the wall place deceive you. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! It has a classic old school NY kind of vibe. Very affordable and amazing. It’s better than fancy Italian. You won’t regret it. The vodka pasta and lasagna were delicious.

My wife and I just moved to Raleigh from Las Vegas Nevada. We have eaten at many fancy Italian restaurants in Las Vegas and this is better than all of them and reasonably priced. It is a little place, but the food coming out of that kitchen is worth your time.

Wife and daughter could not stop taking about the customer service and taste and freshness of the food. One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to in a while. Highly, highly recommend! They even were extremely satisfied with the leftovers (most Italian leftovers when warmed up can be oily).

The employees were very kind but I would not recommend this place or come back. The cashier had no idea how to work the till and it took over 15min simply to purchase our food. Their health grade was a B which was a bit sketchy. The soda in their fountain was out. They were understaffed, none of the employees were wearing face masks and the food was mediocre and pricy.

Such a delicious local Italian restaurant. We are visiting from out of town but feel like this was a hidden gem and we are so glad we found it! I had the pesto pasta with chicken and my husband had a large margherita pizza, which was huge! Everything was delicious, and the lovely owners bring the food out to everyone with so much pride and joy, they’re Italian immigrants! We had a great time and would come back.
