My new favorite BBQ place. Have ate there a couple times since they opened. It was delicious. Ribs were excellent. Sides are great. Usually I don’t like hash but theirs is hearty like a stew. Owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back!!

Ate at Somkin Js for lunch today and it was absolutely delicious!! The bbq was juicy, the hash was hardy, and the baked beans, mac and cheese, and tater salad were all very tasty! Great portions for great prices! We will definitely be back!

Visited for the first time this week. I love ribs and they were some of the best I’ve had. The hash and the sides were great. The wait staff were very attentive. I will definitely go back.

The staff seems nice, the food was not as good as I have heard and a bit pricey for what’s on the menu. It is nothing I’m going jump up and down for. The resturaunt itself is in need of some TLC. The table I sat at was dirty, the floors were messy and I felt like I was eating in a dirty place. One side of the resturaunt is hot and uncomfortable to sit and eat in and the other side is barely cool enough. My pet peeve in a resturaunt is flies and I find no shortage of them in this resturaunt.

First let me say I love good bar-b-que. I want to be fair, I believe Smokin J’s has just recently opened. The people were kind and friendly. However, bar-b-que, especially when the establishment has “smokin” in the name should have smoke in the meat. No smoke flavor at all, not much taste without the sauce. The meat was also a little too greasy.
