Katy´s Korner opens in December 1998 and has since become a stable of the San Ramon community. Great, quality food, friendly service, and homey decorum. Starting from humble begins, Katy’s has been owned and operated by the same family for over 20 years. Ari Georgsson immigrated to California from Iceland in the year 1977 were he would begin his extensive career in the restaurant industry. Working for some of the finest resorts in Carmel area. With master chef Ari in the kitchen, and wife Benný in the dining room Katy’s has become an institution of the San Ramon neighbourhood, a must stop.

The potato came pretty much burnt and charred. Asked the server to replace it but was told that the potatoes are always served charred, which is not the usual experience I’ve got with other American Diners. Server didn’t offer to replace the potatoes with non-burnt ones, and only suggested to take it back if I don’t want it. I was even told that the burnt potatoes are normal, and that their customer likes it that way. Photos from other reviews of this restaurant doesn’t showed charred blackened food, so I believe the server’s response is not justified. To me the server is just being dismissive and not receptive to constructive feedback. I had better experience elsewhere that’s for sure. The food is ok to mediocre, not warrant a future visit for sure .

It is my husband and my 1 year anniversary and we started it at Katy’s! As usual everything was amazing! I had the California Benedict and my husband had the Icelandic Benedict. Both with the potatoes. Everything was A+++. And to top it off Enrique was just as sweet as can be, quick and all around wonderful. He even brought us a treat for our anniversary. Katy’s will always be a favorite!! Thanks again Enrique!! You’re the best!

Impressively fast service and amazing food! My fiancé and I stopped in before work for a quick breakfast and about 5 minutes after ordering we received our delicious food. Couldn’t recommend enough- never had to ask for a refill for my coffee or water. God bless the man on beverage duty who offered a to go coffee for free!

Verify check before pay. Check is hand written and calculated. Math is not correct. Calculator exists. They try to scam me by charging an extra coffee and ice tea that I did not order. Horrible service. I won’t return for sure. Stay away.

Such a cute place, on our trip, we came for breakfast and loved it so much we went again the next morning. The food was fresh, the potatoes were perfectly seasoned, and everything was delicious. Plus, it’s actually in a corner.
