BETTER than 5church in charleston SC, Best brunch I’ve had in YEARS. Young family owned business, amazing creative food, amazing creative drinks, everything feels bespoke and is fresh and great in every way! Drinks were creative and absolutely amazing. Place is night and day from the previous owners… our founding father ate here and the new owners have such a bomb menu and attitude, they would be proud.

We had heard that this place was under new management so we wanted to give it a try. Went here for an early dinner just after 5pm. Not a lot people when we were seated Clean and cozy. Waitress took our drink order and it took while to get my IPA draft. Then it took several more minutes to take our order. After more than 40 minutes after placing our orders, I asked the waitress if we could have our salads while we waited. She came back 15 minutes later with our salads and entrees saying “they’re working very hard” Salads we’re warm, and my burger was lukewarm and overcooked. I had asked for a side of mayo. Another 15 minutes for that and my burger was cold. I would understand more if they were really busy, but this was not a good experience. Waitress was pleasant and it had a nice atmosphere..

Such a lovely place. The staff is wonderful. I saw server’s helping each other with tables. The food was delicious and fresh tasting.The drinks are also delicious and a bit creative. I loved the whole vibe. Thank you for a nice dinner with my love.

Our family did Thanksgiving buffet here this year, and are hoping to do it again next year! They were accommodating, friendly, and the food was great! Don’t sleep on the seasonal cocktails, we had the balsamic fig mules and they were excellent!

The drinks were phenomenal. The BEST espresso martini!!! The menu is delicious and unique. The fried pickles beni was scrumptious!! The pickles had the right amount of batter. The homefries were crisped to perfection. Drove 1.5 hours to try this place. 110% worth it!!!! Will DEFINITELY be back

Sat on the patio, it was a nice night to be outside. Drinks were very good and had fun, cute garnishes! Service was slow, we were there for over an hour before our appetizer came out and then another long wait for our entrees. It did not look busy, the restaurant was fairly empty. The food was just okay, my partner got a burger, nothing special about it. The bun was too big for such a thin burger patty. I had a shaved pork French dip and again, just okay and too much bun for the amount of meat. The au jus it came with was very greasy. The fries were very crispy, which personally I like, but they had zero seasoning on them.

Haven’t been to this place in a long time so wanted to give it a try for another local option for us. We went in at 3pm on a Saturday thinking we could miss the dinner rush. We stood at the door for almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Staff was passing by us the whole time and wouldn’t make eye contact. Not even to say, “we’ll be with you shortly.” There was one large party seated as well as a couple of other tables, but otherwise pretty empty. When someone did eventually come over we were told it would be a 20-30 minute wait. Pretty frustrating that they couldn’t have told us that when we first arrived. We ended up sitting in the bar. Our service was pretty good, but people from one of the tables in the restaurant had to keep coming up to the bar to order their drinks because their server wasn’t coming to their table. The food was just ok. Disappointed to say we probably won’t be back. The initial reception (or lack thereof) really put a bad taste in my mouth.
