You’re options on the PA Turnpike are limited to the services offered at the plazas unless you exit and drive looking for services. That being said the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission should be ashamed of itself for it’s rest areas. This is how the state represents itself to travelers on our highways. One of the most expensive toll roads in the nation and this is what we get.

Came for the nostalgia left for the attitude…. I do not like to ever leave bad reviews but the food I got looked like something a prisoner may be served pair that with the way I was treated at the counter and I would say you got one fun ride… if that ride was on a rudercoaster… don’t go here… ever. You will be let down.

Could be worst meal ever. It was the only food at rest stop. Ordered a hamburger got spicy chicken. They knew they made a mistake but never bothered to look for me. The chicken sandwich I got 2 bites and realized wrong. it was horrible. Went to counter my burger was waiting. Something just not right. The fix in bar was disgusting. The presentation horrible. onions sliced poorly. Pickles just weren’t appealing. Kids chicken tenders cooked and tasted bad. Kid ate one and said she was full then complained of stomach problems. Mac and cheese not good. I or we found nothing good. It’s a rest area so big eating area.

My first Roy Rogers visit as we do not have them in Ohio near me. Over priced sandwich with average taste in my opinion. Haven’t tried everything on menu.

Extremely friendly overworked cashier. I feel bad for her being by herself with food being prepared very slowly from the kitchen. Cashier was trying very hard to entertain customers while waiting for the food to be ready. The fixings bar needed to be refreshed. There was no ketchup available.

Everything is al a carte, no meals. Very pricey. My family of 4 had cheeseburgers, fries, and sodas for over $50. The older woman working the register was very rude and did not welcome anyone or say thank you and begrudgingly gave you things if you asked for it. I said have a nice day to her and she just glared at me. Food was typical fast food burger and chicken tenders, nothing special. I like how the toppings and condiments were at the “fixin bar” where you could get lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles plus packets of ketchup or mustard. If you need to stop here to eat while on your journey, make sure to say “Have a nice day” to the old lady at the counter.

Stay away from Roy Rogers in the Cumberland Valley Service Area off the PA Turnpike. Before walking in, I already knew everything in there would be overpriced. What was disappointing was the food. Burgers were dry like they’d been sitting in the heat for too long. Fries were soggy and bland. I paid $30 for a chicken sandwich meal and a bacon cheeseburger meal. Both were meals that I wouldn’t feed to my dog. The Roy Rogers chain should be ashamed of this place. Additionally, it was obvious that the old lady at the cash register didn’t want to be there. She had a bad attitude and was rude to customers.

Serious disappointed. Paid almost $7 for a chicken sandwich and this is what I get. See pic. So disappointed. Barely a piece of chicken in there for my hard earn 7 bucks. Its literally just bread, soft bread and cheese and a cold chicken.

To quote my 8 y.o son: “This is worse than the food at my school”. It’s the first time I hear him complain about a burger. We got served an ultra-greasy-burnt-on-the-outside-yet-still-pink-inside blob of meat topped with what appeared to be a half slice of American cheese that was clearly microwaved. Both were half-heartedly put between two halves of a crushed bun (no other toppings) with lukewarm overly-greasy fries on the side.

It was the same lady from last year and I’ve noticed for a while that she treats white customers kindly and anyone else with a rude annoyed attitude. She also messed up mine and a couple other people’s orders.
