So glad I decided to treat myself today! Black owned and operated. VERY clean and spacious inside. The staff was very attentive, I appreciated that. I ordered safe since it was my first time here… people are sleeping on this spot… perhaps because of their hours or where they sit in the plaza… go back near where Kenzie restaurant use to be! The parking lot needs to be repaired, so be careful. Their menu is so appetizing…I want to try many things…I love breakfast food… they had other options as well. I tried the pick three: I had two large fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs w/ cheese and grits… delicious…I’d probably ask for my pancakes to brown a little more as I like crispy edges, but otherwise wonderland l wonderful! That was 12$ which I guess based on inflation… that’s okay, some may ask what about the meat…I didn’t choose that in my three, perhaps next time, but I really don’t need meat. Portions seem to be decent as I peered on the plates of others. I’d definitely return, a few more times and recommend to others

Where do I began, I am FOODIE…. I love trying new places to eat. One of my usual favorite places was closed due to renovations, so I googled somewhere near by. Firs, the location is tucked away, the sign is tiny as hell, then you get inside and wait…… and wait….. and wait!!!! Finally someone dry comes an escorted us to a table and left. We look over the menu and we’re ready to order and we wait…. and wait… and wait, finally a happy go lucky person comes and takes the order and we wait and wait and . The food finally arrives and it was just OK. The salmon patties were very thin , the pancakes were good and the eggs were good as well. But the BILL was ridiculous, and to make matters worse 2gas to ask for a box, ask for the bill and NO ONE EVER ASKED, how was EVERYTHING!!! And to top it off gratuity was add !!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EAT!!!!

This place has completely went down. Pancakes were thick and dry hashbrowns had a weird taste to it. Prices are to high for the quality of food. When I told them I didn’t enjoy my food there was no manager to take my complaint. Plus they added gratuity to our bill that was just 2 people.Definitely won’t be back again. Sticking with Original Pancake House.

Great food! Loved the pancakes and Greek omelette – delicious. Pancakes were so fluffy and buttery. Service could’ve been better. We waited longer than we expected and needed to ask for things like utensils and creamer a couple times but staff was friendly. Might have been an off day and would come again 🙂

I was on assignment to take a few pictures of their dishes and I was pleasantly surprised how good this food looked. The crabcakes are awesome. The chef/owner Gregory Who lives locally and has six children, studied at Schoolcraft College under the famous Brian Polcyn. This place is clean and the service is very friendly. I really think you will be delighted to dine here. Hello there is anything you can take away from the reviews you read here is that I go to a ton of restaurants and I know quality. I also know the people that put their heart and soul into their business. Gregory is truly an amazing man.

I have never got scammed like this out to eat ever. The place is dirty, carpet was horrible. I waited 40 mins for my food. It was my table, and two other tables. They didn’t give me a receipt until after I swiped my card. The machine asked me did I want to tip. I tipped not even knowing they had already added a tip to my bill. Service was horrible. He literally wrote down our order and it was still wrong when it came.

My husband and I went to this wonderful, clean, and professional establishment both today 6/10 and yesterday 6/9. Not only does the food surpass your expectations, but the staff taking your order are both kind and attentive. There are so many food options of perfection that it is mind blowing! If you are looking for great food that meets visual presentation, and sets off the pleasure sensors in your taste buds, this is the place to go. Tell all your family and friends. This place is appropriate for business meetings, friends and family, or just because. It is rare that you find a place of this caliber. Thank you Southfield Pancake House! This was one of my favorite places for breakfast with my family. I have recommended this place consistently over the years to friends, family, business associates, etc. Sadly, I went with a large party to celebrate a great achievement, and the service was HORRIFIC. We purposely got there early since we had a large party. We ordered all at once and sat for an hour with no food. We eventually began to see people who came in after us receive food, and we barely received refills on our drinks. When we inquired about food, we received blank stares, and when we asked for the owner, we were told they were busy fulfilling Door Dash orders. There was NO ACCOUNTABILITY and NO APOLOGY. Instead of just walking out, I asked for the bill and paid $40 for drinks and included gratuity for terrible service. I understand places are short staffed, and I understand service to DD customers since it kept restaurants afloat during covid, but please remember some of your DD customers like myself do come in person sometimes but NEVER again. I love supporting Black businesses, but there is no way they would get a rusted penny off the ground from me, let alone my hard earned dollars!

Highest place ever! 2 servers over the entire restaurant, food is not worth the prices. My bill of almost $58 for 2 breakfasts included a 20% gratuity charge automatically. I won’t be back & would’ve been more satisfied @ IHOP! 1 star is for cleanliness. Pancakes were hard, salmon patties were almost burnt with no flavor, grits were watery & the tip was $10 for a $50 order (20%) the service & food was not worth the price.
